Didn’t do Murph today.
Did “Locke” instead. Scaled the deadlifts. Scaled the push-ups. Still got absolutely smoked.

And that’s kind of the point.

These workouts were never about proving how tough you are on Instagram or pretending scaling is somehow “less than.” They’re about effort. Perspective. Gratitude. Remembering the people who gave everything while we get the privilege to suffer voluntarily for an hour in a gym.

Hope you got a good workout in today. Hope you had some fun. And I hope you took a second to remember why today matters. 🇺🇸

*This post is worth a revisit.

Foam rolling is way overrated as a pain reliever.

There is some merit to spending some time on a foam roller before and even after a workout. Rolling out has been shown to increase blood flow and in some cases lead to pain relief, but we’re talking small changes, not big.

Delayed onset muscle soreness (DOMS) after a big workout like “Murph” can’t be avoided. The best athletes in the world will be sore after that much volume.

The best things you can do are:
1. Hydrate
2. Eat
3. Sleep
4. Move
5. Let the passage of time do it’s thing

I’m not saying to not foam roll, but if you aren’t doing all the other things well, then it’s not going to be time well spent

New space, who dis?

We’re all moved in to the new home of Hollingsworth Performance, soon to be known as RuneStrong Sports PT & Performance.

We’re still settling in and getting a feel for the place but it’s already feeling like home.

Stay tuned for a Grand Re-Opening announcement. In the meantime, if you have an ache or ni**le that’s keeping you from doing the things you love, come give our new clinic a visit.

RuneStrong isn’t just a new name.

It represents the values this clinic was built on: strength, growth, resilience, and helping people stay capable for the long haul.

More than a rebrand—this is the direction we’re headed.

Big changes coming.

This has outgrown being a one-person operation—and that’s a good thing.

RuneStrong Sports PT & Performance.

More on what that means tomorrow.

New Clinic Progress Post

Cedar’s going up and the vibe is changing fast.

These walls are already bringing the space together—warm, clean, and about as far from “clinical” as it gets. Exactly how it should feel when you walk in.

We’re about a week out from wrapping this up… then it’s time to move into the new spot 😏

Athletes are really good at one thing:

Training through stuff.

Scaling, modifying, pushing through…
until it just becomes normal to deal with pain.

But “working around it” isn’t the same as fixing it.

You don’t need to stop training.
You need a plan that actually addresses what’s going on.

That’s where I come in.

Does your back scream at you after a session on the rower?

Perhaps you’re making this common rowing error.

Final prep for Cocodona 250.

Feeling strong. Ready to go.

Let’s see what 250 miles has to say.

I do not recommend attempting this.

For demonstration purposes only!
