Healthier Lifestyle May Reduce Stroke Risk.

A recent study found that older adults who adopted a healthier lifestyle—which may include behaviors like a healthier diet, exercise, reduced sedentary time, not smoking, managing stress, and avoiding excessive alcohol consumption—had a 23% lower risk of stroke over the following seven years when compared with participants who maintained their baseline lifestyle. Road Traffic Noise May Affect Vascular Function.

Researchers at Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz observed that overnight exposure to urban road traffic noise can increase stress and inflammation markers in otherwise healthy adults, leading to sleep disruption, impaired blood vessel function, and a higher resting heart rate.
