Arabella Aguilar enjoys giving back to the community and we're glad she chose PVHC to work as a student aide. She is kind, caring, and passionate about helping others. Arabella still has a couple years of high school, and we hope her experience with us during these upcoming years helps launch her into a rewarding career.

Rounding out the final week of our 8th SUMMER FOOD PROGRAM, we invite everyone to join us this FRIDAY for a FREE COMMUNITY BBQ at Homesteader Park from noon to 1pm. Enjoy a delicious lunch and watch a helicopter fly in.

This will be Rachel Knights' last year of coordinating the Summer Food Program and so she's 'walking the plank'; hence, the pirate theme for the celebration. Come have some fun with us, send Rachel off with some well wishes, and celebrate this wonderful community program!

Today just happens to be Parent Appreciation Day. We'd like to send a SHOUT OUT to all the 4H and FFA participants' parents for all they do to help their children who take part in these great character-building programs.

Bright and early this morning, we enjoyed the privilege of serving our annual breakfast to the 4H/FFA participants... and some of their parents.🤗

Miriam brings more than 19 years of nursing experience, including 12 years as an advanced practice registered nurse specializing in women's health.

In addition to providing comprehensive obstetric care, her clinical expertise includes:
● Women’s healthcare across the lifespan
● Polyendocrine metabolic ovarian syndrome (PMOS) and endometriosis
● Hormone replacement therapy (HRT)
● Perimenopause and menopause care
● IUD and Nexplanon insertion and management

Miriam will begin seeing patients at Powell Valley Clinic, building C, beginning in early August. To schedule an appointment, please call 754-7770.

When transitioning back home after an illness or injury, you want to reach your optimal recovery. PVHC takes great pride in helping patients get stronger and well prepared for getting back to their routine at home or wherever they reside, through our Swing Bed Program.

A recent patient shared his experience with our Swing Bed program and staff. We are grateful for Mr. Stephan's willingness to tell his story and share it with our Big Horn Basin community! We wish him and his family the best!

Mr. Stephan's story...

“Karen and I want you to know how much we appreciated the outstanding care I received during my stay in the Swing Bed Unit from February 10th thru March 31, 2026.

First, we were pleased with Stacia’s guidance as my case manager. She gave us so much good information about things we had no idea we could gain from. Her knowledge and caring attitude helped us immeasurably while I was at PVHC and after I was released. We had no idea of the type and amount of care we could get from CRH Home Health Care, which kept me busy with PT and OT for 8 weeks! Thank you for making the arrangements for me for that. Stacia’s leadership abilities were evident every week in our case meetings. She kept everyone on a professional keel, allowing for a laugh or two, and provided priceless information for Karen and me.

We were also very pleased with the nursing and physical therapy I received during my stay there. If I could remember half of the nurses’ names I’d call them all out, but since I’m short on memory, I dare not name those I can remember. All were very professional, but a few went above and beyond! The MAs and CNAs were great. Jeri was exceptional. Sarah took me off my back and onto my feet and in a compassionate and very caring way. Tina provided some very tasty snacks and protein-rich foods and checked often to see if I was fed well (actually fed a little too well!).

The food there was very good and the delivery service was exceptional. Paul, Nate, and Mike often helped me with my meals by cutting meat and other items into small bite-sized pieces! Now that is over the top!

All in all, we were very pleased with my care and will definitely recommend PVHC to friends and family.
