"This is my first time ever going to a chiropractor. Like many I assumed they were just for people that had work injuries or had been in automobile accidents. But, they do so much more than that. The staff is extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and thorough. They also have flexible hours that work with my schedule and they work with most insurance companies. I’ve recommended them to all of my friends and family. I’m extremely happy and thankful to be a part of the Be Aligned Health Family!!" — Jenny B

It was a slam dunk week with helping people.

A few things we’ve seen improve around the office this week

From moving with less pain to sleeping better, managing stress, and feeling better overall we love seeing what happens when your body starts functioning the way it’s supposed to.

And honestly? These are the wins that make our week.

What are you working on improving right now?

We’re pretty good at taking care of our teeth before there’s a major problem.

So why do we treat our spine differently?

We wait until it hurts.
Until we lose mobility.
Until everyday activities become harder than they used to be.

But your spine is something you’ll rely on for the rest of your life.

The goal isn’t to wait until something is broken and then try to fix it. It’s to build healthy movement, strength, mobility, and alignment into your life before you desperately need it.

You can’t stop Father Time, but you can give your body a better chance of keeping up with you.

Start taking care of the body you want to have 10, 20, even 30 years from now.

A healthy spine isn’t just about avoiding back pain.

It’s about being able to live your life.

Work out.
Take the long hike.
Get down on the floor with your grandkids.
Play with your kids.
Move freely.
Still have energy at the end of the day.

The problem is, we tend to wait until something hurts before we pay attention to how well our body is actually functioning.

Small things like, poor posture, limited mobility, repetitive movements, lack of movement, can add up over time.

You don’t have to wait for your spine to start screaming before you start taking care of it.

Don’t just chase the absence of pain. Chase the ability to keep doing the things you love.

Your future health is being built by the choices you make today.

3 things we want you to know about chiropractic care

1. Adjustments aren’t scary.
Chiropractic adjustments are specific. We use things like X-rays and spinal analysis when appropriate to understand what’s happening and determine where and how to adjust. The goal is always to use the right technique, in the right place, with the right amount of force for you. There's a reason our malpractice Insurance is less than our car Insurance.

2. Consistency matters.
Especially in corrective care, seeing your chiropractor multiple times per week in the beginning isn’t about keeping you dependent on care. Your body has spent years (sometimes decades) developing certain movement patterns and compensations. Consistent care gives your body repeated opportunities to adapt to a healthier pattern.

3. Chiropractic care isn’t just for one type of person.
We’ve cared for patients from 1 day old to 98 years old, and everything in between. A newborn, an athlete, a busy parent, and someone simply wanting to move comfortably may all need very different approaches. Care should be adapted to the individual, their goals, and their stage of life.

Your body is unique. Your care should be, too.

What’s something about chiropractic care you’ve always wondered about?

Your knee hurts. So why are we looking at your hips and spine?

Because your body doesn’t operate in isolated parts.

The place you feel pain isn’t always the place where the problem starts. Your body is constantly adapting and compensating for how you move, how you stand, how you load your joints, and what isn’t moving well.

That’s why we don’t just chase the painful spot.

We look at the bigger picture to understand why that area is being asked to do more than it should.

Because getting out of pain is one thing.
Getting your body functioning better so the same problem doesn’t keep coming back? That’s the goal.

Don’t just treat where it hurts. Find out why it hurts.

Fun Friday poses to try with your work besties.

When you love what you do and who you do it with is it even considered work?

09/24/2026

Normal things we say at 10 AM in the office would get us in a lot of trouble at 10 PM on a first date.
Good thing we stick to chiropratic and not one liners.

Do those home stabilization exercises really matter?

Short answer: YES.

When you’re going through corrective care at Be Aligned Health, your in-office adjustments are only one piece of the process. The stabilization exercises you’re given at home are designed to help your body learn and maintain the new patterns we’re working toward in the office.

Think of it this way: we can help create the change, but your body needs repetition to learn how to hold onto that change.

Your home exercises help reinforce proper movement, stability, and coordination between visits. Skipping them doesn’t necessarily mean you won’t make progress, but it can mean you’re leaving an important piece of your care on the table.

So if you’ve been thinking, “Do these little exercises actually make a difference?”

They do. Your consistency matters.

And remember: you don’t have to do more, you just need to do the right things consistently. That’s why your home care is specifically chosen for your body and where you are in the corrective care process.

Your adjustment + your home care + your consistency = working together toward better results.

“Can I work out after an adjustment?”

Yes! You absolutely can.

In fact, adjustments and movement can work really well together.

Dr. Thomas got to work with the Olympic team in Rio in 2016, where athletes were literally getting adjusted on the mats before heading out for their matches. So no, you don’t necessarily need to spend the rest of the day sitting on the couch after an adjustment.

That said, your situation matters.

If you’re dealing with a significant injury, debilitating sciatica, a disc issue, or another condition that requires more individualized care, your workout may need to be modified, or it may be better to rest.

But for a general wellness adjustment?
Move your body. Train. Live your life.

Chiropractic care should support the things you want to do, not keep you on the sidelines.

“Is it normal to be sore after an adjustment?”

Sometimes, yes.

When we work with areas that haven’t been moving well for a long time, it’s not unusual to experience some temporary soreness afterward, especially when you’re new to chiropractic care.

Your joints, muscles, and nervous system are adapting to a change in how you move and function. Think of it a little like how you might feel after using muscles in a way you haven’t used them in a while.

The good news? That soreness is typically short-lived. As your body adapts and your mobility improves, many people find that adjustments leave them feeling more comfortable, mobile, and at ease.

Because honestly… there’s nothing quite like the feeling of moving well.
