I just started a Cannabis Nurse Health Coach certification, and instead of keeping everything I learn to myself, I decided to bring you along for the journey.

As a Family Nurse Practitioner, I’m passionate about lifelong learning and sharing evidence based education in a way that’s easy to understand.

Over the coming weeks and months, we’ll explore the history, science, research, the endocannabinoid system, policy, and the people whose stories helped shape where we are today.

One little girl helped change the conversation around medical cannabis forever.

Charlotte Figi’s journey with Dravet syndrome introduced millions of people to the potential therapeutic role of CBD in certain forms of epilepsy. Her story inspired research, shifted public perception, and ultimately contributed to a new chapter in cannabis medicine.

As a nurse and future Cannabis Nurse Health Coach, I’m fascinated by the history, science, and evidence behind this evolving field. This is just the beginning of a series exploring how we got here and where cannabis medicine is headed.
