✨️DoubleDay✨️✨️🌌Galactic 🧬Activation🪞Portal🔘Day✨️on the 😴Dreamspell/Tzolkin🧮Calendar✨️

Happy new cycle and welcome! Every long journey has a first quiet morning before anyone else is awake. Today is that morning for the whole Tzolkin.

Tone 1, known as Magnetic, carries the keywords Unify, Attract, and Purpose. This is the opening tone of any wavespell, the moment where a thirteen day arc is set in motion and its underlying intention takes shape. Nothing has been tested yet. What matters today is naming what you want these thirteen days to hold, because the thoughts that begins a cycle tends to color everything that follows it. The invitation of a Magnetic day is simple and rarely dramatic: decide what you are attracting your attention toward, and let that decision be enough for now.

Red Dragon carries the qualities of Nurture, Being, and Birth. Where Dragon shows up, there tends to be an undercurrent of care, both the care we owe ourselves and the care we are asked to extend outward. A person with Dragon prominent in their chart often circles back to questions of home, safety, and origin. Doubled today as both the day sign and its own guide, this energy asks for something almost old fashioned: rest before output, shelter before ambition. A person might notice this as the simple decision to make their bed slowly, rather than rushing past it. The wavespell that opens today is built entirely from this foundation of nurture.

This is a Portal day, one of only fifty two in the full 260 day cycle, and it deserves thoughtful attention rather than dramatic expectation. What tends to happen on days like this is a kind of heightened sensitivity rather than heightened intensity, a thinning of the usual static between intention and event. Journaling a small synchronicity today, something noticed on the walk to the mailbox or a name that surfaces twice in one hour, may be worth doing simply to see what pattern emerges later in the arc.

Guided by itself, Dragon doubles its own message today. There is no outside influence steering the day elsewhere. This can be read as permission to trust the nurturing instinct fully, without needing another energy to validate it.

Blue Monkey sits at the far end of today's spectrum, playful where Dragon is grounded, quick where Dragon is slow. For those unfamiliar with this looser, more improvisational register, the temptation may be to keep working past the point of rest. Moving toward Monkey rather than away from it might mean allowing a little unstructured play into an otherwise careful day.

Yellow Sun operates quietly beneath the surface, offering illumination to anyone willing to slow down long enough to notice it. A short period of reading or quiet reflection may bring an idea that feels oddly clear.

White Mirror lends honest reflection today, the ally most useful for anyone doing quiet self assessment. People born under this sign may find themselves offering that same clarity to others.

Where do you find yourself at the start of a new round? The comments are open if you would like to share it. Thank you all for being here

A lunar eclipse once helped change the course of an entire war. And today, the Moon is eclipsed again. 🌕

On August 27, 413 BC, a lunar eclipse appeared over an Athenian army trapped in Sicily.

Terrified soldiers and their commander, Nicias, took it as a warning from the gods. He refused to sail away and delayed their escape — giving their enemies time to surround them.

The result was catastrophic. The Athenian army was destroyed, thousands were captured or killed, and one of the greatest military disasters of the ancient world unfolded.

More than 2,400 years later, we know what a lunar eclipse is: the Earth passes between the Sun and Moon, casting its shadow across the lunar surface.

But imagine seeing the Moon suddenly darken in the middle of a war — and believing the gods were telling you not to leave.

Today, we see the same phenomenon. But 2,439 years ago, one eclipse may have changed history.

Would you have seen science… or a sign? 🌑

The Partial Lunar Eclipse of 2026 Aug 28 is visible from the following geographic regions:

eastern Pacific, Americas, Europe, Africa
The diagram to the right depicts the Moon's path with respect to Earth's umbral and penumbral shadows. Below it is a map showing the geographic regions of eclipse visibility. Click on the figure to enlarge it. For an explanation of the features appearing in the figure, see Key to Lunar Eclipse Figures.

The instant of greatest eclipse takes place on 2026 Aug 28 at 04:14:04 TD (04:12:52 UT1). This is 5.8 days after the Moon reaches apogee. During the eclipse, the Moon is in the constellation Aquarius. The synodic month in which the eclipse takes place has a Brown Lunation Number of 1282.

The eclipse belongs to Saros 138 and is number 29 of 82 eclipses in the series. All eclipses in this series occur at the Moon’s ascending node. The Moon moves southward with respect to the node with each succeeding eclipse in the series and gamma decreases.

This is a very deep partial eclipse. It has an umbral eclipse magnitude of 0.9319 and a partial eclipse duration of 198.8 minutes. Gamma has a value of 0.4964.

The partial lunar eclipse of 2026 Aug 28 is preceded two weeks earlier by a total solar eclipse on 2026 Aug 12.

These eclipses all take place during a single eclipse season.

The eclipse predictions are given in both Terrestrial Dynamical Time (TD) and Universal Time (UT1). The parameter ΔT is used to convert between these two times (i.e., TD = UT1 + ΔT). ΔT has a value of 72.3 seconds for this eclipse.

✨️🌌Galactic 🧬Activation🪞Portal🔘Day✨️on the 😴Dreamspell/Tzolkin🧮Calendar✨️

The last day of the Yellow Star wavespell, and the last day of the entire 260-day Tzolkin cycle, arrives today. After everything the calendar has moved through across 260 days and twenty wavespells, what it offers at the very end is, light.

Tone 13, known as Cosmic, carries the keywords endure, transcend, and presence. As the final day of the Yellow Star wavespell and the last day of the entire Tzolkin, this tone carries a weight that no other thirteenth day quite does. Its function is completion rather than resolution: things do not need to be fully understood in order to be honored, and a 260-day journey does not need to arrive at a tidy conclusion in order to have been genuinely worth traveling. People often find there is more to digest on thirteenth days than feels entirely comfortable, and today that is true of the wavespell and the full cycle simultaneously. Remaining present with what this has actually been, without rushing past it into what comes next, tends to be the most honest thing available.

Yellow Sun carries the qualities of enlightenment, life, and universal fire. As the final glyph of the twenty in the Tzolkin, the Yellow Sun is always the destination the calendar arrives at before returning to its beginning. Today that arrival carries the full weight of the cycle that preceded it. People may find that what becomes available today is not a new revelation but a quality of recognition, a sense of seeing clearly what the whole journey has been, including what was difficult, what was unexpected, and what turned out to be more valuable than it appeared at the time. Some may find that the enlightenment available today is quieter and more personal than the word suggests, less a blinding light and more a settled knowing.

Today is also a Portal day, and this is one of only two times in the entire Tzolkin that Yellow Sun falls on a Portal day. The amplifying quality of the Portal gives this closing day a particular resonance. People may find that synchronicities carry an unusual quality of completion today, as if different threads of the 260-day cycle are gathered into a single moment of recognition. Journaling whatever arrives, even something that seems modest or personal rather than grand, may be worth doing today.

Yellow Seed appears as today's guide, bringing awareness, the generous desire to share knowledge, and the patient quality of planting for what comes after as a directional force. Following this energy means allowing whatever has been understood across this cycle to be offered outward in some form, not necessarily as a polished insight but as a seed that might be useful to someone else, or to a future version of yourself moving through the next spin of the calendar.

White Dog occupies the challenge position, making the more feeling-oriented and heart-centered quality of the Dog harder to access alongside the Sun's more intellectual illumination. People may notice today that the head and the heart are not quite synchronized, and that waiting for the two to align before moving tends to produce delay rather than clarity. Bringing some genuine warmth to whatever the Sun is illuminating today tends to help more than keeping the two separate.

Red Dragon sits in the occult position, carrying nurturing, birth, and the quiet possibility of a genuinely new beginning as a hidden resource. The Tzolkin ends where it begins, with the Dragon's energy already waiting in the space that this cycle's completion opens. People may find that what is available today at the very close of the cycle is not really an ending but a threshold, and that the next cycle is already quietly present in the room.

Blue Storm occupies the ally position, bringing catalyzing energy and a readiness for what comes next as support. The closing of a 260-day cycle is itself a form of catalysis, and the Storm's presence here suggests that what follows is already moving toward you, energized by everything this cycle has produced and released.

Wooop final day folks! What a blessing and what a ride it has been! I’m very much looking forward to the slower pace that these next few wavespells bring.
