Happy Nurses Week 2026 💙
This year’s theme, Power of Nurses, speaks to something I see and feel every single day as a nurse practitioner.
Nursing is more than a role—it’s the foundation of patient advocacy. It’s where science meets humanity, where clinical knowledge is guided by listening, trust, and understanding the full story behind every patient.
What makes nursing so powerful is our perspective. We don’t just treat conditions—we see the whole person. We’re at the bedside, in the community, in the quiet moments when patients share what really matters. That vantage point gives us the ability—and responsibility—to advocate in ways no one else can.
The power of nurses is in:
• Speaking up when something isn’t right
• Bridging gaps in care
• Educating, supporting, and empowering patients
• Seeing not just illness, but lived experience
Healthcare needs many voices—but nursing is the thread that connects them all.
To every nurse: your voice matters, your perspective matters, and your advocacy changes lives more than you may ever fully see.
