BEE Award Winner: Charles Dumlao
From a Veterans wife:
“My husband is a big man (300 lb, 6’ 2”) and it is hard for a lot of CNA’s and nursing staff to help him get dressed in the mornings and even worse, when he needs toileting. He is not able to go to the bathroom on his own yet and needs to be changed.”
“Charles is a CNA in float pool and no matter if his assignment is on CLC 1st floor or CLC 2nd floor, Charles gets his work done—then comes down to CLC 1 and helps whoever is on duty getting my husband him ready for the day, either helping with cleaning him, dressing him and using sky lift to put him in his wheelchair sitting comfortably. It’s hard to move him in the chair to sit up straight in the wheel chair. Charles is strong, so kind to come help my husband when he can. He is outstanding.”
The BEE Award (Being Exceptional Everyday) is a nationally recognized award that honors Clinical support staff for their extraordinary acts of compassion. Thank you Charles.
