ABUS: Advanced Breast Screening Close to Home 💗

Automated Breast Ultrasound (ABUS) is an advanced screening tool that can help detect breast cancer in people with dense breast tissue, where abnormalities may be harder to see on a mammogram alone.

ABUS is available at OSF HealthCare Saint Elizabeth Medical Center in Peru, bringing advanced breast screening technology close to home. Our team combines state-of-the-art technology with compassionate care to help detect breast cancer as early as possible.

Volunteers are a meaningful part of the OSF Hospice care team, bringing comfort, companionship and support to patients and families during tender moments.

Choose a role that fits your heart, whether that’s visiting with patients, giving caregivers a short break, helping with errands, assisting at memorial services, community events or supporting our Peru office.

Comprehensive training is provided, and classes are offered several times a year.

➡️ Emergency Department patients and families should park in the south lot (outlined in yellow) and follow the green arrow to the ambulance entrance. Outpatients will continue to use the main entrance.
