Earlier this month, Otsuka convened advocacy, policy, clinical, and healthcare leaders in Washington, D.C. for a discussion on the future of prescription psychedelics and their potential role in mental health and brain health care.
Bringing together representatives from more than 25 national patient advocacy and policy organizations, the conversation focused on advancing a balanced, evidence-based dialogue around this emerging field. Topics included patient safety, neuroplasticity, clinical readiness, access, longstanding cultural and Indigenous traditions, and the broader care models needed to support patients throughout their treatment journey.

Meaningful progress in brain health requires collaboration across patients, caregivers, clinicians, researchers, policymakers, and industry. Otsuka is proud to serve as a convener of these important conversations, helping bring diverse perspectives together to support responsible innovation and better outcomes for patients.

Certain healthcare participants may have received reimbursement for reasonable participation expenses; others volunteered their time without compensation or expense reimbursement. No participant was paid for the views expressed.
