“Yoga is just stretching anyway.”
And maybe for some people, it is.
But for others?
Yoga was the first place they learned to breathe through panic.
To reconnect with a body they felt disconnected from.
To sit with grief instead of running from it.
To soften perfectionism.
To feel safe again.
Yoga isn’t “just stretching” to me.
It’s regulation.
It’s grounding.
It’s grief work.
It’s mindfulness.
It’s healing.
It’s coming home to yourself.
Words matter.
Especially in spaces meant for healing.
