The Illinois Critical Access Hospital Network (ICAHN) advances the strength, sustainability and transformation of Illinois’ rural hospitals through collaboration, advocacy and shared solutions that improve performance and community health. ICAHN offers critical access and small and rural hospitals educational and quality programs (Stroke Initiative, certification review courses, corporate complian
ce, CAH workshops, Lean and Six Sigma training); operational support (professional roundtables, comprehensive listserv base, and meaningful use readiness assistance); local and national grant awards and professional grant research and writing assistance; group purchasing (Amerinet/OSF group purchasing contracts, hospital insurance program, and managed care consulting); ICAHN Rural Recruitment services (physician, midlevel, and health professional recruitment plus licensure and onboarding assistance); technical assistance; professional shared services (Community Health Needs Assessments, Implementation Strategies, Information Technology, HCAHPS, iVantage Hospital Strength Index); partnerships/networking (SIU Telehealth, NIU Center for Governmental Studies, partnership with iNet; and CAH leadership development (senior leadership management training, creation of governing board manuals, and governing board summits).
