I didn't realize that its been months and months since I posted anything. Really there is no new news. Home dialysis is going well. It takes a lot of time setting uo the machine, maintaining the machine, and getting ready for dialysis. But I feel like i am getting things down and a routine established which helps with some of the anxiety.
I am still waiting for a kidney. A transplant would be nice! 😁
I will post my national kidney information in the comments. PLEASE SHARE AND REPOST.
It's really hard sometimes to throw myself out there and ask people to consider donating. It's hard to come up with ideas to get the work out there that I am in need. I feel like I need a person to manage a finding a kidney campaign for me. If anyone is interested and has ideas and would like to help me out that would be awesome and greatly appreciated.
I saw a friend from work the other day and it really reminded me how much I miss people that I have worked with. Its hard to keep up those connections when I am no longer at work everyday and for 23 years that was my life. I know that I should find new interests and others to hang with as well but its still hard, its hard when I don't always feel 100% or I think I will be okay and then I am not.
Overall I am doing okay and I don't write any of this to make anyone feel bad or anything. This is just about how I feel and how I need to cope with end stage renal failure, dialysis and trying to find a kidney.
The picture is me getting ready to get my machine ready and my cats are watching. They are not allowed in the room once I start to get my catheter ready and they hang out by the door and meow at me for a few minutes before they wander off. I wish that they were allowed in the room but when I open the door when I am done they find me and come right back in.
Again please share!!!
Thank you!
