Hey everyone! Another day in dialysis land. It's been going well for the last few sessions and I am always happy when things are better. I still feel weak and fatigued after some sessions but its life and we are doing our best as a family to adjust. I do at times feel like the world is just passing me by and I am not always included in things anymore. But I have to be positive and find my own way. I have started to do other craft things such as making seashell art and windmills. I plan on making candles with some of my agates and I continue to knit. I also have an applique project that I am going to start. But it gets lonely.
I also still have my bunny business which is booming and the chickens which I am happy to be finally selling some eggs. The chickens are finally paying for their food and upkeep!
Ritch is liking his new job so that helps and we have the weekends back to get things done.
I am still looking for a kidney. Please share this site if you can't donate there might be someone out there!
Please check it out because even if we don't match there is also paired donation opportunities.

Also still looking for someone who would be interested in helping me market myself. Or any ideas to help me.
Thank you! Lawaine

I didn't realize that its been months and months since I posted anything. Really there is no new news. Home dialysis is going well. It takes a lot of time setting uo the machine, maintaining the machine, and getting ready for dialysis. But I feel like i am getting things down and a routine established which helps with some of the anxiety.
I am still waiting for a kidney. A transplant would be nice! 😁
I will post my national kidney information in the comments. PLEASE SHARE AND REPOST.
It's really hard sometimes to throw myself out there and ask people to consider donating. It's hard to come up with ideas to get the work out there that I am in need. I feel like I need a person to manage a finding a kidney campaign for me. If anyone is interested and has ideas and would like to help me out that would be awesome and greatly appreciated.
I saw a friend from work the other day and it really reminded me how much I miss people that I have worked with. Its hard to keep up those connections when I am no longer at work everyday and for 23 years that was my life. I know that I should find new interests and others to hang with as well but its still hard, its hard when I don't always feel 100% or I think I will be okay and then I am not.
Overall I am doing okay and I don't write any of this to make anyone feel bad or anything. This is just about how I feel and how I need to cope with end stage renal failure, dialysis and trying to find a kidney.
The picture is me getting ready to get my machine ready and my cats are watching. They are not allowed in the room once I start to get my catheter ready and they hang out by the door and meow at me for a few minutes before they wander off. I wish that they were allowed in the room but when I open the door when I am done they find me and come right back in.
Again please share!!!
Thank you!

Getting my space ready to do dialysis at home! The big day is Tuesday! Little note, I’m the first float my center to do home HEMO-dialysis. The only reason why I’m presale to do it is I still have my chest catheter. There is no way that I would be able to poke myself with those needles if I had to do dialysis that way. I’m very nervous but super excited to be able to do it when I want to and in my own space.

WOW I can't believe that I have not posted in a while. Well thats because I have been pretty busy! I thought that life would slow down a little bit once I stopped working but honestly it hasn't. there is always something, between James' heart surgery and moving the boys to the adult side of Doctors and getting both Mac and I straightened out on disability its been super busy. But that's okay, it means that I am still alive and definitely kicking!

So to update regarding kidney stuff. I am still looking for someone who would be willing to donate a kidney either to me or for me. I would really love a transplant. Please share my page and get the word out. April is National Donor Month and it would be amazing if I had a willing donor. It's also my birthday month so that would make it even more special. Please Please someone consider donating.

If you have been following my story you know that I have had several surgeries to try to build an access for dialysis in my arm. The last surgery was back in November/December. We have tried and tried to use the access but it kept blowing out and I had some incredible but kinda pretty bruising. SO we have had to continue to use the catheter in my chest. Because of this I have made the decision to start home hemo-dialysis. I know that I would not be able to stick myself with needles. But I can hook myself up through my catheter not problem. I started training for this on April 1st and training is going well. I am starting to get excited to bring it to my home. I should be able to start on April 22nd!!! We have been preparing the bedroom and getting ready for the machine, chair and all the supplies. Its quite a change and a lot of work and organizing but it will be so nice to be more in control of my own schedule and MY OWN BODY.

Thank you again for reading this and please please share!!!!

Lot's of thinking and introspection going on in my head. Mac is in the hospital again with pneumonia. And life is so busy with so many different things happening that I sometimes feel like I don't have time to catch my breath, to be me. Others seem to need me, between James and his surgery and now Mac and his hospitalization it just seem like I need to continue to take care of others instead of just myself. If that makes sense. Not that I regret it or am upset by it but just sometimes I feel like I want to escape. ork used to be my escape. I enjoyed it as I could immerse myself into other peoples problems and work at helping them solve their life's issues and it sometimes made mine feel smaller and more easy to solve.
Well not that they got solved as now I have suffered kidney failure and I am on dialysis and still searching for a donor for a kidney transplant. :)
I am very thankful for everyone that continues to share my site, please continue to share it will someday find the right person who would love to give me a kidney.
Thank you and share share share share share!

Wow so sorry I have not updated in a long time. It’s been very busy in my household. Unfortunately not because I have a donor. 😢 My redhead child had heart surgery and we were in the cities for over 2 weeks. He’s doing well. So kidney business…. I am still looking for a donor! Please continue to share my kidney page, I know that there is someone out there willing to donate!
Do you all remember that I had surgery to place a fistula in my upper arm? Well we tried to use it after Christmas but we have not been able to get it to work. We are still using the access in my chest. When I first started dialysis I was looking into doing home hemodialysis but I started at the center because my access is so hard and I know that I’m not able to poke myself. Some people can do that but not me. But now that I know that we’re are probably not ever going to be using my fistula I am considering home hemodialysis again. It’s would be easy for me to just hook myself up. So I’m weighing the pros and cons. Does anyone what to respond with what they see are the pros and cons? I will share one of each and then you can also respond!
Pro: I’m in my own where I can control the space.
Con: I will miss the friends I’ve made at the center.
So please continue to share my page and respond because that helps get the message out. And the message is: I NEED A KIDNEY. 🤗 Thank you for reading this long post.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! I am so thankful that my sister in law KM is cooking dinner. I had to do dialysis this morning and I am tired! I always seem to be wiped out on dialysis days! But I am so thankful that I have a machine that can keep me alive so I can enjoy many more Thanksgivings with my family. A donor would be awesome! I am thankful for the people that have tried. Hugs!
