After a stroke, brain injury, hip fracture or other complex orthopedic or neurological condition, our expert clinicians combine the latest technologies with real-world simulations and advanced therapies to help you achieve your goals. Your care team will

include physical therapy, speech therapy and occupational therapy experts; rehabilitation physicians and nurses; case managers; dietitians; and more. While at our rehabilitation hospital you will receive 24/7 nursing care and three hours of therapy five days a week.

Reynoldo Smith was admitted to Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Prosper after a significant decline in function following multiple hospital stays and a fall at home.

At admission, he required a mechanical lift for transfers and extensive assistance with mobility and daily activities. Through 17 days of hard work and dedication, Reynoldo made remarkable progress.

By discharge, he was independent in daily activities and transfers and walking 30 feet with a rolling walker. “I came in using a Hoyer, and now I am walking,” he said.

Emmanuel Michel came to Encompass Health Prosper when he needed more care than could be provided at home. According to his daughter, Mindy, “They saved my dad’s life.” During his stay, our team uncovered serious underlying health concerns that could have gone unnoticed. Thanks to early care and his determination, Emmanuel stayed focused on his goals of getting stronger and returning home to his wife.

Ann Lilly is a stroke survivor. Her husband, Pro Football Hall of Famer Bob Lilly, saved her life by calling 911 when he knew something was seriously wrong. As an active couple who walked several miles daily, the stroke left Ann needing intense therapy to learn to walk and talk again. When she came to Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Prosper, Ann worked with physical, occupational and speech therapists to meet her goals and learn to do daily tasks again.
