8 years…. I’m writing this early Sunday morning, the way I spend all of my early Sunday mornings. Snuggled in bed, with a dog across my legs, and a coffee in my hands. I’m reflecting back on the last eight years of private practice. They have been life-changing. This week my team and I welcomed two new sweet baby girls into the world. I’m reflecting to my first few years in apprenticeship, and starting on my own. So much has changed. I have changed. I wish I could do it all over again. That’s the beauty of life, we change and we evolve. And somehow, eight years in, I find myself feeling more inspired than ever to connect differently with each patient. To be ever present. To meet people exactly where they are, because that’s exactly enough. This career, this calling, this vocation, has forever changed my life. I think what I’m trying to say is sitting here with my dog, and morning coffee, I find a heart full of gratitude to each family, and each person who has been a part of LMLD Midwifery.
Forever learning, forever growing 💜.
