June is Men's Health Month. Men are more likely than women to be diagnosed with colorectal cancer and face a higher risk of dying from the disease. A healthy diet rich in fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and lean proteins can help reduce risk and support overall digestive health.

Regular colorectal cancer screening can detect cancer early—when it's most treatable—and may even help prevent it. If you're due for a screening, the team at University Gastroenterology is here to help. Talk to your healthcare provider about when screening is right for you. Early detection saves lives.

On , we’re proud to share Matt’s story—one of our patients living with Ulcerative Colitis who participated in a clinical research trial at University Gastroenterology.

Through the study, Matt received access to investigational medication at no cost, along with close monitoring, testing, and ongoing clinical support. He shares how meaningful it was to take part in research at the same place where he already receives care—offering both convenience and peace of mind.

At our Clinical Research Center, we provide patients with opportunities to participate in trials that not only support advancing treatment options, but may also offer potential benefits to those living with digestive disease.

Talk to your doctor about research opportunities.
