THE SWING FOR LIFE BQ OPEN

This morning, one of our iconic Tooele weekly support group leaders, Weston Brandon, proudly represents the I Love You Bro Project as a hole sponsor at the 'Swing For Life' BQ Open Golf tournament!

The 'Swing For Life' foundation was founded to honor Braxton James Quinn, a golfer, husband, father, and friend, who was lost to su***de.

Men's mental health often goes unspoken, and Braxton's story is a reminder of that. The 'Swing For Life' Foundation decided to turn what he loved into something that helps others!

Every June, during Men's Mental Health Awareness Month, the BQ Foundation hosts the BQ Open, a charity golf tournament in Tooele at Overlake Golf Club.

The I Love You Bro Project is exactly the kind of work the BQ Foundation wants represented at this event! You already have a chapter in Tooele, and we'd love to have your organization as a hole sponsor at the tournament.
What does that mean?
It means a presence on the course, your resources in the hands of every golfer who walks through, and your name tied to something built specifically around men showing up for each other.

Our wonderful partners at the Lehi Texas Roadhouse went ALL IN on their support for Men's Mental Health and Su***de Prevention for the month of June!

Check out their month-long efforts to raise money and awareness for the I Love You Bro Project!

🪧 Full posters on their front halfwall with data-informed words of affirmation directed to men with a QR code to our website

🪧 On top of the same halfwall, selling these very cool grilling gift bags for men that can be purchased via $15 donation to ilybro! The gift bags include a nice grilling spatula, steak sauce, steak seasoning, and a free appetizer!

📊39% report suicidal thoughts (thoughts of death)

REALITY:

ILYSIS - MENS MENTAL HEALTH SUPPORT WORKSHOPS FOR WOMEN

Last night was a beautiful, inspiring, and connective evening with the women of ilysis!

I normally quiety attend our ilysis workshops by sitting in the back corner and taking notes. I love that I get to teach this workshop on Mens Mental Health every June for the women (and for the men in September)!

Some of the data is super tough to see and even more so to have a conversation about.

I'm so grateful for all the women who came out, put in the work, and had some difficult conversations with me (and hopefully with themselves as well)!

Hopefully I was able to trigger some new thought processes for our women regarding mens mental health.
