POV: You own a family medicine practice…and somehow “doctor’s office” also means laundry, paperwork, snack runs, and locking up at the end of the day. 😂

A day at Blake Family Medicine looks a little different than you might imagine.

🍿 Snack break? Absolutely necessary.
🏠 Dr. Blake making a house call? You bet.
🔑 Locking up the clinic? That’s me.
😌 “I’m fine. I’m going home.” Also me. 😂

Owning a small medical practice means wearing A LOT of hats—and honestly, we wouldn’t have it any other way.

She came to Utah for Family Medicine…and stayed for the lack of humidity. 😂

Meet Chasity, our newest 3rd-year medical student from Noorda College of Osteopathic Medicine, who will be spending the next three weeks with us at Blake Family Medicine!

Originally from Charleston, South Carolina, Chasity earned her degree in Biochemistry and Spanish from Clemson University on scholarship. 🐯

But medicine wasn’t always the plan. Before medical school, she dreamed of playing soccer professionally—until a knee injury changed her direction. That unexpected detour ultimately led her to medicine. 🩺

A few things you should know about Chasity:

🧬 Biochemistry + Spanish major
👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Second oldest of four
🐕 Proud dog mom to her black Lab, Boogie
🦐 Loves seafood and family
👩‍⚕️ Comes from a medical family—her dad is a retired radiologist and her mom is a military ultrasound tech
🏔️ Currently enjoying Utah’s mountains…and its wonderfully non-humid weather!

We’re excited to have her learning alongside us and experiencing what Family Medicine and Direct Primary Care look like from the inside.

Sometimes, at Blake Family Medicine we get a little doctoring done on the facility. The buildings age and get fragile just like our bodies. Maintenance and wellness checks are needed to keep things healthy and running well. We are grateful to our landlords that jump on these things as quickly as they can. Remember to come in for annual wellness checks. We are here to keep you healthy and feeling good.

Carmen Alder acaba de romper el récord sudamericano y récord nacional en la milla, con un tiempo de 4:26.13 en el Sir Walter Miler, en Spokane, Washington, Estados Unidos.

Y hay más: de acuerdo con los registros de World Athletics, durante esta misma prueba pasó los 1500 metros en 4:06.35, estableciendo también un nuevo récord nacional en los 1500m. 🇪🇨⏱️

Dos récords nacionales y un récord sudamericano en una misma carrera. 🔥🏆
