Healing Through Parenting: Grounding a Parent Training Program in Science, Family Therapy Theories, and Diversity

Dr. Parra-Cardona is the Roger and Carol Nooe Endowed Chair at the University of Tennessee Knoxville. He is widely respected for his work in culturally responsive, evidence-based parenting interventions with diverse families. His research and clinical innovations have significantly shaped how we approach family-centered care, especially in underserved communities.

The Department of Education finalized the rules regarding student loans today and MFTs, CMHCs, and CSWs are no longer considered professionals for the purpose of student loan lending. The chart below shows the changes. We're not done advocating and are working with local legislators on possible solutions.
