Thank you to the Center Toward Self-Reliance for inviting Pueblo Speech and Neurological Rehabilitation Center to provide an in-service for their staff retreat! We discussed practical strategies to support communication, cognition, independence, assistive technology, AAC, memory, organization, and recognizing when additional support may be helpful.

We appreciate the important work their team does to empower individuals with disabilities across Southern Colorado.

At Pueblo Speech and Neuro, supporting our community goes beyond the walls of our clinic. ❤️

Our team traveled to Denver for the American Heart Association Heart Walk, where we proudly raised over $1,500 to support lifesaving education, research, and advocacy for heart disease and stroke.

Every day, we work with individuals whose lives have been impacted by heart disease and stroke. Participating in the Denver Heart Walk is one way we give back to a cause that means so much to our patients, their families, and our community.

Remember the signs of stroke. BE FAST:
🧍 B- Balance – Sudden loss of balance or coordination
👀 E - Eyes – Sudden vision changes
💪 F - Face – Face drooping
✋ A - Arms – Arm weakness
🗣️ S - Speech – Slurred or difficult speech
⏰ T - Time – Time to call 911 immediately
