We joined our neighbors for Safety Jam at Lake Minnequa Veterans Memorial Park. This is always such a great event and a fun way to educate our community about our trauma services and safety resources. We handed out helmets to kids, ensuring they have a fun summer on bikes, scooters, and skateboards. St. Mary-Corwin has been keeping the community safe for more than 140 years - it's our jam!

We're so excited to shine a spotlight on Olivia Galassini, MS, LAT, ATC, an incredible Athletic Trainer who brings passion and expertise to our community! Olivia graduated from CSU Pueblo with her Master’s in Athletic Training in May 2024 and has already worked as an Athletic Trainer for two years.

She has a deep love for helping others and building strong relationships with athletes, both on and off the field. Olivia understands the importance of accessible, sport-specific healthcare, and that personal experience drives her dedication to provide support to others. She absolutely loved her time working with the Pueblo Punishers this season. The athletes' great energy and respect made for a truly enjoyable environment. Arena football, with its incredibly fast pace, was an exciting discovery for Olivia; she has become a "lifelong fan." Go Punishers!

Meet Sherry Perdue, BS, LAT, ATC, the dedicated professional keeping our Pueblo Punishers in top shape! With 10 years as a certified Athletic Trainer and 20 years working with athletes, Sherry's journey began with a high school sports medicine camp, and it's been her passion ever since. She absolutely loves working with the Punishers and has become a fan of arena football. "It's a blast! My favorite play is the "Deuce" - it's cool to watch the kicker drive the kickoff through the uprights for two points. Sherry also praises the Punishers organization for its community involvement and loves Pueblo's supportive, small-town-feel atmosphere.

Meet Tim Spears, our amazing Athletic Trainer with 17 years of experience! From his early exposure to athletic training as a high school sports manager to working with the Pueblo Punishers, his journey has been fueled by his love for the game. Football is his favorite! He especially enjoys the energy and respect professional athletes bring to their sport. "It is truly great working with athletes who are in tune with their bodies and understand how to care for them," Tim said.

Tim has been on the sidelines making sure Pueblo's first pro arena football team plays safely and feels healthy.
