Today, our Community Engagement Coordinator had the opportunity to attend the car show at Rivaria El Camino Assisted Living, and what a beautiful day it was!

With perfect weather, residents, families, and community members enjoyed cooling off with Kona Ice snow cones while taking a stroll through an impressive collection of classic and custom cars. There was something for everyone, including face painting and a bounce house that kept the little ones smiling all afternoon.

Thank you to Rivaria El Camino for hosting such a fun event that brought generations together. We love being part of a community that celebrates connection, fun, and making memories. 🚗☀️🍧

Meet Katrina!

Whether she's helping patients feel safe and supported in their own homes or brightening someone's day with her sense of humor, Katrina leads with compassion, kindness, and genuine connection.

A few fun facts about Katrina:

☕ Work Fuel: Coffee strong enough to resurrect the dead and a stubborn refusal to let the day win.
📚 Perfect Day Off: No alarms, a slow morning, pancakes, and enough time to read a whole chapter uninterrupted.
😄 Recent Work Moment That Made Her Smile: Being called a patient's "favorite nurse"—even though she's very clearly not a nurse. She accepted the promotion emotionally anyway.

What Katrina loves most about healthcare is the opportunity to build meaningful one-on-one relationships, helping patients feel safe, seen, and cared for in the comfort of their own homes.

One piece of advice that guides her every day:
"Be curious about people, lead with compassion, and remember that everyone is carrying a story you may never see."
