🎨🔬 Curiosity came to life at the Leonardo da Vinci Museum of North America! Our Summer Adventure Camp explorers spent the day discovering how science, technology, engineering, art, and math (STEAM) work together through hands-on exhibits and interactive challenges.

From building and creating to experimenting and imagining, our campers experienced firsthand that learning can be exciting, creative, and fun. Experiences like these help inspire the next generation of innovators while creating memories that will last a lifetime.

Today, YMCAs around the world recognize World Drowning Prevention Day. 💙

We spoke with our Deck Supervisor, who has served as a lifeguard for five years, taught swim lessons for three years, and helped more than 2,000 people learn how to swim. After losing a friend to drowning, water safety became deeply personal to her.

Even with the right skills and safety tools, water can still be dangerous. Always take extra precautions, stay alert, and never underestimate the importance of learning how to swim.

This fall, the YMCA of Pueblo will offer swim lessons on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays to help people throughout our community build confidence, develop lifesaving skills, and be better prepared for the risks that water can present.

Together, we can create safer swimmers and help prevent drowning—one lesson at a time. 🏊‍♀️

Our Summer Sports Camp athletes had the exciting opportunity to learn new soccer skills from a Colorado State University Pueblo soccer coach. Experiences like this help kids build confidence, strengthen teamwork, and prepare for the upcoming season—all while having fun!

There’s something special about sharing a meal with your community. 💙

Our last YMCA Potluck brought members, staff, and families together around great food, laughter, and new friendships. One of the most meaningful parts of the day was welcoming Aspen Acres Fire evacuees to the table and into our YMCA family. It was a beautiful reminder that community is strongest when everyone has a place to belong.

Now it’s time to do it again! 🌲🥪

Join us for our next potluck, “Party in the Indoor Pines,” as we celebrate Colorado’s 150th Birthday on Friday, August 14, from 12:00–1:00 PM. Wear your favorite Colorado destination shirt or Colorado sports team jersey, bring a dish to share, and enjoy an afternoon of food, fun, and fellowship.

Our last YMCA Potluck brought members, staff, and families together around great food, laughter, and new friendships. 🎨 Creativity was in full color today!

Our Summer Adventure Camp campers spent the day at Fire Playce, turning simple pottery into one-of-a-kind masterpieces. From choosing their designs to adding every colorful detail, each piece reflects the creativity and imagination of its young artist.

We loved seeing our campers express themselves, try something new, and create memories they’ll be proud to take home. 💙

🎪✨ What happens when our incredible Summer Adventure Camp teachers and counselors are given a little creativity? Pure magic.

This year’s Summer Camp Carnival was built almost entirely by hand—from the carnival games and decorations to face painting, balloon animals, and our bounce house fun! Every game was created with love, and every activity was designed to bring smiles, laughter, and unforgettable memories to our campers.

Watching our staff turn imagination into an experience the kids will remember is what makes the YMCA so special. 💙

To our amazing campers: Thank you for your excitement, your laughter, and for making this day one we’ll never forget.

To our incredible camp team: Thank you for the heart, creativity, and countless hours you poured into making this carnival a success. Your dedication is what creates the magic behind every YMCA summer.
