We are all breathing a sigh of relief as our community settles. Displaced families are moving into temporary housing and sheltered at 6 hotel locations. Volunteers are helping distribute goods and funds to those in need.
We have a long journey ahead to rebuild. We are grateful for all the worldwide donations. It will be years before officials and the community create a shared vision.
Our hearts are heavy with sadness yet our communities are strong. It is the long haul that we will need ongoing love and support. There are many ways to donate as I'm sure you've seen. Thank you for your ongoing support!
Lastly, Maui is open. Tourism is over 70% of our business. When visiting please move through our community with compassion and decency for the horror that has occurred.
Please respect the privacy of those grieving loss of life and home in West Maui and Upcountry. Do not travel to West Maui.
