Mary Elizabeth (Liz) Goad, age 90 of Pulaski, died Wednesday, August 19, 2026 at Pulaski Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born January 25, 1936 in Pulaski, and was the daughter of the late Dorothy Lou Crowder Finn (Doxie) and the late Luther F. Finn.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Garfield Goad; son, Kelly Goad; sister, Ellen Lauer; brothers, Jimmy Finn, Rome Finn, Ralph Finn, Lebron Finn, Saford Finn, Joseph Finn and Leonard Finn.

She is survived by sons, Robbie (Valerie) Goad and Doug (Sandra) Goad and daughter-in-law, Denise Goad. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Richie (Cierra) Goad, Grant (Brittany) Goad, Lucas Goad, Evan Whattley, Lilly Whattley, Rick Whitaker and Ryan Whitaker; Great-grandchildren, C**t Goad, Lorelai Reeves, Nick Whitaker, Caleb Whitaker and Sean Whitaker.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt and special thank you to the staff of Pulaski Health and Rehabilitation Center for the loving care, compassion, and kindness they showed Liz during the last few months of her life. Your dedication and care brought comfort to Liz and meant so much to her family.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 26, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. at Seagle Funeral Home with Pastor Richie Goad officiating. The family will receive friends beginning at 1:00 p.m. at Seagle Funeral Home. Interment will follow the funeral service in Oakwood Cemetery.

John “Jack” Mosby Pearman, age 90 of Pulaski, died Tuesday, Aungust 18, 2026 at his residence. He was born on September 20, 1935, in Lynchburg, Virginia, and was the son of the late Josephine Bell Burks Pearman, and the late Benjamin Vincent Pearman, Sr. Jack was a retired contracted data processor for the United States Government.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife Joan Leeson Pearman, and his brothers, Ben Vincent Pearman, Jr., and Robert S. Pearman.

Jack is survived by his wife, Lee D. Pearman, and his son, John Gilbert Pearman.

Per the wishes of Jack, there will be no services.

Garfield Goad, age 86 of Pulaski, died Friday, August 7, 2026 at Pulaski Health and Rehabilitation Center. He was born July 13, 1940 in Dugspur, and was the son of the late Dollie E. Goad and the late Winston W. Goad. He was a retired employee of Lynchburg Foundry in Radford.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Kelly Goad; sister, City (Sis) Boyer; brother, Luther (Skip) Goad; half-sisters, June Moore and Estelle Dickenson and half-brothers, Lonnie Warden and Alonzo Warden.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Mary Elizabeth Goad; brother, Linford Goad; sons, Robbie (Valerie) Goad and Doug (Sandra) Goad and daughter-in-law, Denise Goad. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Richie (Cierra) Goad, Grant (Brittany) Goad, Lucas Goad, Evan Whattley, Lilly Whattley, Rick Whitaker and Ryan Whitaker; Great-grandchildren, C**t Goad and Lorelai Reeves.

Bryan Carter Ingram, 58, of Midlothian, Virginia, and formerly of Radford, Virginia, passed away on August 9, 2026. Born in Radford, Virginia, to Robert Jett Ingram and Jacqueline Murray Ingram, Carter grew up in Pulaski, Virginia, and then attended the University of North Florida. He spent many years assisting his father in various endeavors, not the least of which was cheering for the Virginia Tech Hokies in football. A man of varied interests, he was a keeper of bees and parakeets, a caregiver to his dog Harley, a good friend to many, and a fan and supporter of custom show cars, especially the one hosted by Puzzled Foundation in Lynchburg, Virginia.
Carter was predeceased by his mother and father and his brother, Robert Jett Ingram, Jr. He is survived by his sister, Lyn Ingram Day and her husband Webster Day, his nephews Frederick Day, Bladen Day and Robert Day, and his great nephews Teddy Day and Christopher Day.
Visitation for family and friends will be from 1:00 p.m. to 2 p.m. followed by a memorial service on Saturday, August 15, 2026, at Seagle Funeral Home, 415 Jefferson Avenue N., Pulaski, Virgina. A burial service will immediately follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Pulaski, Virginia.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to Puzzled Foundation, which supports research for individuals on the autism spectrum, and First United Methodist Church, Pulaski, Virginia.

Martin Keith Hancock, age 59 of Dublin, died Wednesday July 29, 2026 at his residence. He was born in Radford on March 19, 1967, and was the son of the late Margaret Alice Ritter Hancock and the late Marvin Stetson Hancock. He was a graduate of the Pulaski County High School class of 1985. Most of Martin’s working years he was active in general construction of homes, etc.

In his free time, he enjoyed watching NFL Football, where his favorite team was the Dallas Cowboys. He also enjoyed fishing and spending quality time with his friends and loved ones.

Martin was known for his generosity and willingness to always help others. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone who needed him, and never let anyone go without.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Albert Abraham Hancock and fiancé, Laura Ann Crowder.

He is survived by two sons, Justin Keith Hancock (Michelle) and William Martin Hancock (Aleha), a daughter; Kaitlyn Brooke Hancock (Ryan), brother; Larkin Heath Hancock, a sister; Helen D. Ayers. Also survived by grandchildren Jaxsen Keith Hancock, Braylon Martin Hancock, Lorelai Alice Hancock, and various nieces.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, August 12, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. at Seagle Funeral Home with Pastor Jason Vaughn officiating. Interment will follow in Brown Cemetery in Belspring. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 12, 2026 at the funeral home from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m.

Lucinda Surratt Jennelle, 82, of Dublin, Virginia, passed away peacefully on July 31st, 2026, in her home surrounded by her loving family and special friends.

Luci was known for her kindness, her generosity, and her unwavering love for family and friends. She served for many years as an Environmental Compliance Administrator at Volvo. Through her many years of dedication and integrity on the job, she earned the respect of her colleagues. Luci was an active member of UAW Local 2069, serving from the initial organizing efforts at Volvo until the day she passed. She also dedicated many years to Head Start and Community Action, as Head Teacher and Anti-Poverty Coordinator. There, she served families in the area with care and commitment. Her work reflected her deep care for others and her community. She was an avid painter who found joy in color and creativity. Her quick wit and unique sense of humor brought light and laughter to those around her.

She shared a loving marriage for many years with Gary Lee Jennelle, of Dublin. Luci is survived by Gary, her daughters, Katherine Sutherland Dove, Tara Kercher Neal, Joyce Bratton Pendergrast, her grandchildren, Gabriel Evans Dove and Connor, Margaret McCarron Neal and Ezra, Elizabeth Anne Virginia Neal and Dakota, Alyssa Altizer Harvey and Collin and John Tyler Neal and Kris, as well as many extended family and friends.

She is preceded in death by Stanley Ketchel Leroy Surratt, Ann Crosier Thompson, Malcom Everett Thompson and James Taylor Dove IV.

A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, August 15, 2026 at 4:00 p.m. at Christ Episcopal Church in Pulaski, where she was an active member. Family and friends will be invited to attend and honor Luci's remarkable life.

Robert “Bob” Ford Ledford, age 81 of Pulaski, died early Monday morning, July 20, 2026 at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. He was born in Pulaski County on September 16, 1944, and was the son of the late Vera Faye Ford Ledford, and the late Elmer Ledford. Bob graduated from Pulaski High School and then became a veteran of the United States Army. Before Bob retired, he was an administrator at New River Community College, and Wytheville Community College and the owner Parts Town Auto Salvage in Pulaski. A collector of automobiles and motorcycles, which enriched his life with enjoyment. He was also enriched and proud of his membership in Faith Bible Church in Pulaski where he attended.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister: Sandra and her husband John Taylor: nephew; John Mark Taylor, II.

Surviving Bob are his niece, Lesley Swartz and her husband John, and their daughter Taylor Fretwell and her husband Josh: Bob’s nephew, John Mark Taylor, II’s step children; Laura Beckum and her husband Brian and Timmy Haerer: Brenda Tylor, widow of nephew John Mark Taylor, II

Vicky Renick Meade, age 72 of Dublin, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 18, 2026, at her residence surrounded by family and friends. She was born on January 8, 1954, in Roanoke, and was the daughter of the late Mary Hutson Renick and the late James Wythe Renick.

Vicky retired from Volvo in Dublin, after 23 years of service. She enjoyed fishing and her mountain home on Miller Creek. She enjoyed their annual fish fry with family and friends and going to the beach with the girls. She graduated from William Fleming High School in 1973 in Roanoke.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers Barry and Gary.

She is survived by her husband of 32 years, Gary Douglas Meade: a son; Bart (Karen) Hodges; step-daughter; Meridith Ayers; step-son; Bryan Meade; sister; Robin Jenkins; two grandchildren; Emily and Jacob Ayers; Also survived by a special friend, Marcus Bailey and his son, Marcus, Jr. She will be remembered for her kind heart and always wanting to help people.

There will be no service, but please visit www.seaglefuneralhome.com to share memories of Vicky and her life. There will be a celebration of her life at a later date. We would like to extend special thanks to ACG Hospice nurses, that took care of her and to Stephanie Lane for all of her help and care to Vicky. Also, would like to give thanks to Barbara Blankenship, Mike and Mary Barbour, Pudgee and Poochie and Sherree Nickels.
