New River Valley Medicine will be closed on Monday, September 7th in observance of Labor Day. We wish all of our fellow American workers a happy and *safe* Labor Day holiday.

Part of our commitment to comprehensive primary care is ensuring our patients have access to clinical advice even when our office is closed. To provide safe and ethical healthcare, after-hours help is limited to established Primary Care patients only.

🔹 Please CALL if: You are an established Primary Care patient with an urgent illness that can't wait until Monday. We can help triage your symptoms and potentially save you a trip to the ER.
🔹 Please WAIT if: You have routine business needs (scheduling, billing, non-urgent refills). We will handle these needs on our next business day.
🔹 Do not call: If you are experiencing a life-threatening emergency (chest pain, difficulty breathing, stroke symptoms), please call 911 immediately. If you are not an established patient: Please visit a local Urgent Care or ER for your immediate needs.

At New River Valley Medicine, you are more than just a number.

As an independent, physician-owned practice, we have always believed that great primary care happens both inside and outside the exam room.

That's why we have chosen to participate in Medicare's new "Advanced Primary Care Management" (APCM) Program.

This Medicare program recognizes that excellent primary care doesn't stop when your appointment ends. Instead of only paying for office visits, Medicare now helps support the ongoing care coordination and personalized services that help keep patients healthier.

We're not changing how we care for you—we're simply being compensated for the work we've already been doing behind the scenes.

Most Medicare Advantage and supplemental plans cover any patient responsibility. If you ever receive a bill related to APCM, please contact our office first. Our goal is to work with your insurance and minimize any out-of-pocket expense whenever possible.

Your participation helps support independent primary care practices like ours and allows us to continue providing the personalized, relationship-based care that our patients deserve.
