❄️ Clinic Closure Info ❄️

New River Valley Medicine will be closed on Monday, Jan 26th due to road conditions.

Part of our commitment to comprehensive primary care is ensuring our patients have access to clinical advice even when the doors are closed. To provide safe care, after-hours help is limited to established patients only.

📞 On-Call Guide for Our Patients (540-267-5774):

🔹 Please CALL if: You are a current patient with an urgent illness that can't wait until Tuesday. We can help triage your symptoms and potentially save you a trip to the ER.

🔹 Please WAIT if: You have routine business needs (scheduling, billing, non-urgent refills). We will handle these promptly upon reopening.

🔹 Do not call: If you are experiencing a life-threatening emergency (chest pain, difficulty breathing, stroke symptoms), please call 911 immediately. If you are not an established patient: Please visit a local Urgent Care or ER for your immediate needs.

Stay safe, everyone!

Cold weather can cause Narcan to freeze at 5°F or below. When frozen, the spray will not work. After Narcan fully thaws at room temperature (about 15 minutes), it can be used and is effective.

If an overdose is suspected while Narcan is frozen, do not wait — call 911 right away. If the person is not breathing or is breathing slowly, provide rescue breathing until Narcan can be given and help arrives.

Get free Narcan, mailed to your home or available locally across Pennsylvania through our Overdose Prevention Program. Link in the comments. ⤵️
