❤️📚 Hispanic Heritage Month at The Littlest Bookshop 📚❤️

There are some things you build a business around, and there are some things you build a business from your heart around.

For me, celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month is one of those things.

So much of my family is of Hispanic descent, and that part of my identity is woven into the people, traditions, stories, and values that have shaped my family. As a mom, I think even more about what it means to pass those pieces of ourselves down to our children.

I want my kids to know where they come from.

I want them to know the stories of the people who came before them. To recognize the beauty in our traditions. To understand that our differences are something to celebrate—not something to hide.

And maybe that is why seeing a little Hispanic child find themselves on the pages of a book hits a little differently for me.

Because representation matters.

There is something incredibly powerful about a child opening a book and seeing a family that looks like theirs, hearing a name that sounds familiar, seeing a culture they recognize, or reading about traditions they grew up with.

And there is just as much value in my children opening books about cultures different from their own.

That’s the kind of little bookshop I want to create.

A place where every little feels seen, every family feels welcome, and our shelves make room for stories from all kinds of backgrounds.

So this Hispanic Heritage Month, I’m celebrating not only as a small business owner, but as a mom, a daughter, a family member, and someone who is incredibly grateful for the heritage that is part of my story.

For the generations before us.
For the traditions we carry.
For the stories we pass down.
And for the little ones who will carry them forward. ❤️

✨ WHAT A BEAUTIFUL CIRCLE MOMENT! ✨

We had the most amazing time celebrating our wonderful friend and author, Author Alicia Hilsher, at the opening of her absolutely beautiful Mobile Romance Bookshop, Blush & Booked! 📚💕

And somehow, the bookish world brought everything full circle…

While we were there, we had the incredible opportunity to have author Erin Rose sign our copy of Sparring Partners — an extra-special moment because we actually met Erin one day completely by chance… standing in line for ice cream! 🍦📖

From an unexpected ice cream line to getting a book signed at another incredible woman’s grand opening… we just love how life connects us in the most unexpected ways. 🥹✨

When women support other women, amazing things can happen. 🤍

Here’s to cheering each other on, celebrating each other’s dreams, and watching our little bookish community continue to grow! 📚✨

From craft camp and music & movement classes to the upcoming Book & Brush event, September is all about creating, reading, making, and spending time together.

Our new space inside Blu Design Co. is slowly coming to life, and seeing all of these little details find their place has us so excited for what’s ahead. 📚🌸

And this is only the beginning. We’re currently waiting on so many brand-new goodies that we cannot wait to introduce to you as The Littlest Bookshop grows into this next chapter. More books, more treasures, more whimsy, and more ways for us to create a space that truly serves the little ones and families in our community. 🤍

We’re building something that feels a little bigger, a little more magical, and even more us—all while staying true to why we started in the first place: creating a place where childhood, imagination, and stories are celebrated.

WE SOLD OUT. 🥹📚✨

Every. Single. Book.

Our bookish community SHOWED UP yesterday for what was truly our best event yet with The Novel Pour , and we are still trying to wrap our heads around it. 🤍

After a morning filled with a little bit of chaos (because apparently sometimes your truck just decides it doesn’t feel like trucking 😅), we were feeling pretty defeated. But good things happen when you have a village that reminds you to keep going, helps you figure it out, and refuses to let you give up.

And wow… are we glad we kept going.

A HUGE thank you to The Novel Pour for not only creating such an incredibly fun atmosphere, but for being willing to jump in and help us when we needed it most. That kind of small-business community means everything. 🫶

And to every single person who stopped by, bought a book, chatted with us, supported us, and ultimately helped us SELL OUT — thank you, thank you, THANK YOU. 📚✨

Here’s to more bookish events, more community, and hopefully many more days at the wonderful as always Harpers Ferry Brewing . 🍻📖
