We're preparing for our 4th annual Back-to-School Clothing Swap fundraiser!!!!!
We are collecting new and gently used clothing items, shoes, and accessories for all ages, and we welcome participation from our residents' families and friends and the greater community. This began with an idea to facilitate staff exchanging children's clothes in anticipation of the new school year and has become a fun way for our staff, friends, and neighbors to clean out their closets and change up their wardrobes, all while supporting our community.
We will be collecting and sorting donations throughout this coming week, and will open our "Blessed George Boutique" for shopping on Monday August 17th. If you're like me and have things hanging in your closet that you know you haven't worn in at least a year, or your kids are growing like weeds and you've got bags of clothes and shoes they've outgrown before wearing them out, please drop your donations off in the bin in our lobby. And then come and check out the shop we'll be putting together in our Auditorium August 17th-26th! Thanks in advance for your support!!
All funds raised will go to the Blessed George Matulaitis Employee Assistance Fund through which we grant one-time financial support to employees who face unexpected hardship -- one of the ways we help one another and live out our mission of being a "supportive Christian community."
