On June 7, DKH Oncology team welcomed 133 attendees, including 48 survivors and their guests to the Raceway Golf Club & Restaurant for our annual Cancer Survivors Day event.

This year’s theme, “Give Cancer the Boot”, brought together survivors, families, caregivers, and supporters for an afternoon of connection, recognition, and encouragement.

Guests heard heartfelt remarks from guest speakers Jeffrey Davis, Rachel Schardt, and Paulette Harwood, and Ginger McGrath was presented with this year’s Unsung Hero Award.

The event featured country music provided by Ty Mackin of Piercing Sound – Mobile DJ Services, western-themed décor, great food and meaningful opportunities for connection as attendees reflected on the courage, resilience, and hope that are part of so many cancer journeys.

A special thank you to Jim Terrien and the team at the Raceway for generously donating the venue and providing a delicious meal, and to everyone who donated prizes, volunteered, or helped make the day possible.

Thank you to all who joined us as we honored survivors and those who support them every step of the way.

Monday – Wednesday & Friday: 6:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
Thursday: 6:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.
Saturday: 7:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
Sunday: Closed

This change only applies to the hospital location. Hours at all other DKH blood draw locations remain unchanged.

Beginning Sunday, June 14, 2026, the outpatient blood draw services at Day Kimball Hospital’s main laboratory in Putnam will change.

New Hours:
Monday – Wednesday & Friday: 6:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
Thursday: 6:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.
Saturday: 7:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
Sunday: Closed

Please note that this change applies only to the Day Kimball Hospital campus location. Hours at our Danielson and Plainfield locations remain unchanged.
