Today is National Food Bank Day🥫❤️

Food banks play such an important role in our communities-providing support to individuals and families when they need it most.

Here in our own community, organizations like the Puyallup Food Bank, All Saints Community Services, The Salvation Army Puyallup Food Pantry, and nearby Sumner Community Food Bank work year-round to help make sure our neighbors have access to food and essential resources.

Whether you’re in a position to donate, volunteer, or could use a little support yourself, today is a good reminder that these resources are here for our community❤️

Taking care of our community means taking care of each other.

The Washington State Fair kicks off this Friday, September 4th, and with all the fair fun comes one thing we can always count on: fair traffic🚗🚙🚗

If you have an appointment with us during the fair, please keep in mind that traffic around our area can get a little heavier than usual. Give yourself some extra travel time so you can make it up the hill to us without the added stress! Good news for our Tuesday patients-the fair is closed on Tuesdays, so you get a little break from the fair-day crowds!

Come for your appointment, stay for the scones. We won’t judge😉🎡🐄

Planning ahead for Labor Day!

Just a heads-up that HorizonView Health will be CLOSED Monday, September 7th in observance of Labor Day.

If you have any prescription refills, scheduling needs, or other requests, please keep the upcoming closure in mind and reach out to our office ahead of the long weekend so we have plenty of time to help! We’ll return to our regular office hours on Tuesday, September 8th.

Weird Wednesday🤓

Did you know your nose doesn’t actually breathe equally through both nostrils all day?

Every few hours, your body naturally switches which nostril is doing most of the work. It’s called the nasal cycle, and most of us never even notice it happening👃 So if one side of your nose randomly feels a little more “plugged” than the other-even when you’re not sick-it may just be your body doing its thing.

It's National Sandwich Month, and honestly…we think the sandwich deserves a little more credit🥪

They're quick, easy, endlessly customizable and, with a few simple additions, can pack a whole lot of good stuff between two slices of bread!

The easiest way to build a more balanced sandwich? Start with a good base, add some protein, pile on the veggies and finish it off with something you actually enjoy.

Because eating well doesn't have to mean giving up the foods you like-it can be as simple as adding a little more of the good stuff🥬🍅🥑
