August is Children's Eye Health and Safety Month, and it lines up perfectly with back-to-school season.
A lot of learning happens through a child's eyes, and vision trouble can look like trouble focusing, headaches, or falling behind in class. Kids do not always know their eyesight is off, because it is all they have ever known.
If your child squints at the board, sits close to screens, or complains of headaches, mention it to your provider. Catching a vision issue early can make a real difference in how the school year goes.
Have questions about your child's health before school starts? Call Hardeman County Clinic (940) 663-6651 or Foard County Clinic (940) 684-1515 to schedule a visit.
