Do you recognize this local church? 👀

On Saturday, we had the opportunity to attend the Hospice & Community Care Labor Day Auction, and we brought home this beautiful piece of artwork by Doris Hough (1927-2014). We thought it would fit perfectly with our collection of local art on display here at the funeral home. 🖼️

And if you haven’t made it to the auction yet, there’s still another day tomorrow, Labor Day, September 7! The auction continues at the Solanco Fairgrounds, with furniture, quilts, sports memorabilia, outdoor items, delicious food and plenty of treasures up for grabs. Most importantly, every purchase helps support Hospice & Community Care and the patients and families they serve. 🤍

A little fresh paint. A little local history.

As part of our 60th anniversary, we brought our shutters back to black—the original color chosen by Ivan Dewald in 1966.

Thank you to Wagner Painting for helping us refresh while honoring our roots. We appreciate your quality work and craftsmanship!

Here’s to 60 years of serving our community—and many more to come.

We’re looking forward to Physical Therapy ’s 4th Annual Chili Cook-Off on Saturday, November 21, from 11 AM–2 PM at the Southern End Community Association.
Last year, the event made a HUGE impact in our community, awarding two $3,000 scholarships and donating $1,000 to each of the local fire companies.
