The 5,4,3,2,1 grounding technique is a cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and mindfulness practice that is widely used by therapists and mental health professionals to help individuals manage anxiety and stress. 🧘‍♀️

This very simple practice helps to bring us back to center when our energy is being rattled by everyday circumstances. It helps to anchor ourselves in the present moment by engaging your senses and redirecting your focus away from your worries.🌿

To practice the 5,4,3,2,1 technique, start by taking a deep breath and then identify five things you can see, four things you can touch, three things you can hear, two things you can smell, and one thing you can taste.

By doing this, we reconnect with our surroundings and ground our energy, helping us to feel more balanced and in control.
