My way of being with and working with children was profoundly shaped by the work of this man. I had the honor of attending his seminar a few years ago and he truly embodied the empathy, understanding, and acceptance I strive to provide to my clients. It was not something he did, but truly who he was. Thank you for the mark you made on play therapy, Garry Landreth. Your legacy lives on in playrooms all over the world. 💙💚

This week is National School Counseling Week, and while we celebrate all school counselors, we want to give a special shout-out to our very own Mr. Bates. Did you know that Linden ISD is home to an LPC Associate supervised by myself, Toni Hagins, M.S., LPC-S? Mr. Bates is doing incredible work, and I’m honored to play a small role in the positive impact he’s making in students’ lives. Wishing you a wonderful week, Mr. Bates!
