The FDA just approved the first cataract lens with a SPIRAL 🌀
It’s called Galaxy. Most multifocal lenses use rings to free you from glasses, but can leave halos at night.
Designers gave that problem to AI. It came back with a spiral.
Think ramp instead of stairs, focus glides smoothly from far to near. In an early study, 95% had no halos or only mild ones.

How to Spot a Cataract Even with 20/20 Vision

Cover one eye. Now the other. Is white still white?
That kitchen that turned cream wasn’t the painter — it was a cataract. And she still read 20/20.
Eye charts miss it because they’re perfect contrast. Cataracts live everywhere else: night driving, headlights, colors fading so slowly your brain resets normal.
Ask for this test: contrast sensitivity. It’s the first thing a cataract takes.
