Before the emails,
the errands,
all of the appointments,
and responsibilities begin...

take a moment to breathe deeply.
Thank God for the gift of today!

Every sunrise is a reminder that...
His mercies are new every morning.

So whether you're heading to work,
tending a garden,
caring for your family,
or simply enjoying a peaceful cup of tea...
I hope you find a little beauty in this ordinary today.

From my kitchen table to yours,
may your cup be full,
your heart be light,
and your day be blessed!

❤️ Bubbie

There's something special about shopping small.

Not because it's trendy. Not because it's convenient. Because every purchase helps support real families, real makers, and real dreams.

The shelves at The Bubbie's Kitchen are filled with products we've carefully selected, created, blended, and packed with purpose. From our handcrafted teas and wellness products to local artisan finds, every item has a story behind it.

We're grateful for every person who walks through our little corner of the market and chooses to support small businesses like ours.

Iodine might be one of the most overlooked minerals in modern wellness conversations.

Most people know iodine is important for thyroid health, but its role in the body goes much deeper. Every cell in the body uses iodine in some way. It plays a part in hormone balance, immune function, metabolism, and overall cellular health.

Historically, iodine-rich foods were much more common in the diet. Seafood, sea vegetables, eggs, and even iodine-rich soils helped provide what the body needed. Today, many people consume far less iodine than previous generations.

For that reason, some people choose to incorporate iodine into their wellness routines through food, supplementation, or topical use. One traditional practice that has gained attention is applying iodine to the skin, including the soles of the feet.

While research on topical applications continues to evolve, many people appreciate iodine as part of a broader wellness lifestyle that includes nourishing foods, proper hydration, quality sleep, movement, and supporting the body's natural systems.

No single mineral is a magic answer. Wellness is built through daily stewardship of the body we've been given.

As always, do your research, work with a qualified healthcare professional when needed, and make informed choices that are right for you and your family.

Have you ever used iodine as part of your wellness journey?

Somewhere between the tea kettle humming and the quiet moments of the day, I still hear my Bubbie’s voice… “A girl who’s meant to do big things can’t be bothered with the small ones.”

She’d say it plain, the way only she could. There were multiple variations of this same statement, but they all meant the same thing... Not every little thing deserves your energy. Not every whisper, not every opinion, not every passing moment gets to take a piece of you.

She used to tell me…
the buffalo doesn’t stop to study the ant hill.
It doesn’t argue with it.
It doesn’t shrink for it.
It keeps moving.
And when the storm comes...
It doesn’t run away from it!
It walks straight through the storm!
It fights against the winds, the rain, and the snow with all of the elements targeting it directly! Head on!
There’s something in that.

We’re not called to live small, distracted lives—pulled apart by every tiny thing that tries to get our attention.

We’re called to stay steady.
To keep moving.
To walk forward, even when the wind picks up.

So today, I’m letting the small things be small…
and I’m moving forward anyway.
Just like Bubbie taught me 🤍

We received our freight of red light panels damaged 💔 yet we also received our 2nd tier panels that are good to go! All flicker free and ready to help people heal their bodies!

Red light therapy didn’t start as a trend for me… it started in my grandfather’s home. He kept red light bulbs in the bathroom and would always say, “Leave them on—they help heal the body.”

At the time, I didn’t fully understand it… but I never forgot it. Years later, when my husband was injured in the line of duty, a surgeon at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center recommended red light therapy as part of his recovery.

And we saw it with our own eyes—
healing came faster,
strength returned sooner,
and he was able to get back to work more quickly.

That’s when it shifted for us…
from something we remembered,
to something we believed in.

We began bringing red light therapy into our home regularly— not just for recovery, but for staying well, whole, and restored. And as we searched for ways to make it part of our everyday life, it naturally led us here… to sharing it with you.

Because at the end of the day,
this isn’t just about a device—
it’s about living well enough to do
what we’re called to do.

Like King David wrote,
“I shall not die, but live,
and declare the works of the Lord.”

When we are supported, strengthened, and cared for by the everyday choices we make… we are able to show up more fully—for our families, our purpose, and the work set before us! For me... it helps me be a better person for my husband, our kids and grands, the family and our friends... in general, feeling better just makes life better. So wherever your journey goes, find good health and a life worth living!
