Last night, the City of Quincy came together for the 16th Annual Candlelight Overdose Vigil. 🕯️

Together, we remember. Together, we heal.

A night to honor the lives lost, support the families and loved ones who continue to carry that loss, and remind those still struggling that they are never alone.

A special thank you to Laura Martin for putting this beautiful evening together and for continuing to bring our community together year after year. Your dedication to remembering, honoring, and supporting those affected by addiction means so much.

Every life lost to overdose is more than a statistic. They are sons, daughters, parents, siblings, friends, and loved ones whose memories deserve to be honored.

Join the City of Quincy for the 16th Annual Candlelight Vigil as we come together to remember those we’ve lost, support those who are grieving, and stand united in hope for recovery. The vigil will take place on Wednesday, August 26, at 7:00 PM at Hancock-Adams Common in front of Quincy City Hall. In the event of rain, the ceremony will be held at Quincy High School Auditorium.

One year ago, none of them knew if they’d make it here.

Now they’re celebrating 365 days of growth, healing, resilience, and sobriety.

Recovery isn’t about being perfect. It’s about showing up, choosing yourself, and taking life one day at a time even when it’s hard.

These three women did exactly that.

This is a 12-step working house where growth is expected and support is constant.

Our residents commit to:
– Attending mandatory meetings
– Working with a sponsor
– Staying accountable to daily routines
– Contributing to the home through shared responsibilities

I just want to take a moment to say how incredibly proud I am of the women of Graceland.

They came. They saw. They sang.

Every Wednesday night this month, they showed up and practiced three Christmas carols. Last night, they didn’t just perform they crushed three performances.

They sang at local homes and had the opportunity to give back the incredible team at , spreading a little Christmas cheer to both the ladies and gentlemen there.

The joy they brought into those rooms/homes was undeniable. Moments like this remind us that healing, growth, and giving back can all exist at the same time.
