Free market capitalism forbids monopolies and ensures customers’ products and services are paramount. Translation: an unrigged playing field accommodates healthy competition between those who succeed by providing better and more cost effective outputs. Customer satisfaction drives innovation and everyone wins. There’s no need to aid the underprivileged when they haven’t been robbed by the excessively privileged. Keep these details in your mind on a shelf.

Now let’s look at the cannabis industry. California and Colorado were among the first to legalize w**d and laws/regulations were carefully drafted to ensure key players ran the show. It worked great before the farm bill. Then something that wasn’t supposed to happen, happened.

The farm bill created a loophole that allowed the common man to produce and distribute intoxicating cannabis products (Delta-8 and other h**p-derived cannabinoids). People didn’t need special permits and contracts to get their hands in the cannabis game. States with legal recreational cannabis saw markets decline as key players were displaced by aspiring entrepreneurs who had better products that were more readily available and at lower prices. We had a resurgence of free market capitalism that conquered the monopoly legal states tried to impose.

What’s happening is the Fed learned from the mistakes the first legal states made. They’re closing the loophole to end the free market - banning h**p - and paving the way to legalize ma*****na (tomato/tomato) as a means to ensure key corporate players have exclusive rights to produce and distribute cannabis products. This prevents the average citizen from getting a piece of the pie and eliminates customer satisfaction as the primary driver for production (sound familiar)?

H**p is being banned so ma*****na can be legalized - something most people will readily accept - failing to realize the implications and consequences. Hindsight demonstrates how big corporate and their monopolies result in substandard products and services with little to no concern for customer satisfaction. Translation: buy our garbage or convince yourself that the garbage from our sister company is any better. Maybe the other logo is more appealing despite the exact same deficiencies in delivery.

H**p is being shut down and replaced by legal ma*****na, which will come from big corporate and big corporate alone. Business opportunity for non-corporate entities and product quality will be eliminated and the masses will celebrate the transition without realizing what happened until it’s too late, just like every other industry that used to rely upon competition for customer satisfaction.

A judge has rejected a motion to block a new Virginia law banning the sale of h**p products containing over two milligrams of THC.

No, an apple isn’t addictive. But many ultra-processed foods are intentionally designed to be hard to stop eating.
