To say that I'm broken hearted is an understatement π’
It is with great sadness that we share the passing of our dear friend, Peter McIntosh.
The debt of gratitude we owe Peter for his years of extraordinary articles and breathtaking photography is one that could never truly be repaid. Through his words and his lens, he captured not only the beauty of our mountains but the spirit of the people who call them home. He was, and always will be, a treasured part of the Laurel family.
This loss will be felt far and wide. Peter's life was defined not only by his remarkable talent but by the kindness he showed, the countless ways he quietly helped others, and the humble servant's heart with which he lived each day. He made our community better simply by being part of it.
On a personal note, my heart is broken. Yet I find comfort in knowing that Peter is at peace in the presence of God, and for that I am deeply thankful.
Peter will forever be missed by all of us at The Laurel. He always called me "Boss," a simple gesture that never failed to make me smile. I will miss hearing those words more than I can say.
Farewell, my dear friend. Thank you for sharing your gifts so generously, for your unwavering friendship, and for the legacy you leave behind. You were loved far more than you ever knew, and you will never be forgotten.
