This is why this is the best job ever!
Work doesn’t feel like work. It feels like connection. Making a difference in a person’s life is the greatest feeling!
My patient came to us about a month ago.
Her shoulder pain had impacted so many parts of her life.
Pain kept her from sleeping through the night. It hurt brushing her teeth, fixing her hair, and reaching to her foot to put on socks.
She had already been through PT once elsewhere, and it didn’t help.
So when she came to us, she wasn’t sure this would be any different.
But she gave it another chance. I’m so happy she did.
I listened, asked a lot of questions. I truly wanted to help because she was frustrated and exhausted.
On the first visit, I uncovered issues in other areas that contributed to her symptoms. I treated that and she felt a difference in the first treatment. She was amazed.
It’s been about a month and a half now in PT.
She’s sleeping through the night again.
She’s reaching, lifting, and moving without that pinch of pain.
Even something as simple as pulling clothes from the washing machine or carrying a shopping bag feels normal again.
The best part?
She said no one had ever taken the time to explain things to her the way we did.
Today, she ‘graduated’ from PT. She was emotional, which made me emotional. She thanked me and hugged me. It was a great day.
Moments like that stick with you.
If you’ve been there—feeling unsure after trying before—you’re not alone.
Sometimes a different approach makes all the difference.
