Today, members of the Lincoln Trail Behavioral Health System team were honored to participate in the Be The One Walk in Elizabethtown, standing alongside veterans, community partners, and supporters to raise awareness for veteran su***de prevention.

As we recognize PTSD Awareness Month this June, we are reminded that many veterans, active-duty service members, and first responders carry invisible wounds long after their service ends. PTSD is a treatable condition, and seeking help is a sign of strength—not weakness.

At Lincoln Trail, supporting those who have served our country is more than a commitment—it is part of our mission. Through our dedicated Patriot Support Program, we are proud to provide specialized care for active-duty military, veterans, and first responders facing PTSD, trauma, substance use, and other mental health challenges.

Together, we can make a difference. Be the one who listens. Be the one who cares. Be the one who reaches out.

If you or someone you know is struggling, help is available 24/7. Call Lincoln Trail Behavioral Health System at 270-351-9444.

Last week was filled with fun, laughter, and appreciation for our incredible staff. We enjoyed a delicious catered lunch and dinner from Shoney’s, traveled back in time with classic 1980s candy and popcorn and finished the week on a sweet note with delicious treats from The Sweet Shoppe food truck!

Thank you to every team member for all that you do each and every day. Your compassion, dedication, and hard work truly make a difference and we loved celebrating YOU all week long!

Monday, we continued celebrating Hospital Appreciation Week by treating our amazing staff to a fun and refreshing Dirty Soda Pop Experience!🥤✨

Our specialty dirty sodas were inspired by iconic 80’s hits, featuring favorites like Livin’ on a Prayer, Sweet Dreams, True Colors, and That’s What Friends Are For. 🎶💿

Staff popped in throughout the day to enjoy a sweet drink, share some laughs, and celebrate the incredible teamwork and dedication they bring every day. Thank you to all of our hospital staff for everything you do! ❤️

Yesterday, Business Development Community Liaisons Connie Shacklett and Angela Horn proudly represented Lincoln Trail Behavioral Health System at the 2026 Aetna Foster Parent Appreciation Day held at Bernheim Arboretum and Research Forest in recognition of the incredible foster families serving children across Kentucky.

During National Foster Care Month, we recognize the compassion, strength, and dedication of foster parents, kinship caregivers, and families who provide stability, support, and hope to children in need. With 7,937 children currently in foster care across Kentucky, the need for strong community partnerships and support systems remains critical.

At Lincoln Trail Behavioral Health System, we remain committed to working alongside foster families and community partners by serving as a resource for the children and families in their care through compassionate behavioral health services, support, and advocacy.

Thank you to every foster family making a difference in the lives of Kentucky’s children each and every day.
