With the weather getting warmer, ice cream hits the spot! 🍨 ✨

Everyone enjoyed an old-fashioned soda fountain social with ice cream floats to cool us off.

Sitting out in the sunshine enjoying a float and good company makes for a great Friday afternoon to end off the week! 🌞

Our Signature Program was in action during our night at the Wohlfahrt Haus Dinner Theatre! 🎭

Their show, “Under the Boardwalk,” an original r***e of Carolina beach music, got everyone in a summery mood with its fun songs and dances and a tasty meal and dessert to enjoy while we watched.

A highlight was the cast coming out into the aisles to get the audience dancing. Thanks to the friendly associates and cast who always make us feel welcome and right at home! 🤩

We took a fun trip to the New River Valley Airport for their annual Spring Fly-In and loved getting up close with all the airplanes! ✈️

We even checked off a bucket list moment by watching an airplane flour-bombing contest—where pilots drop flour packs aiming for a windsock target (and we had never seen anything like it!).

The adventure wrapped up with sweet shaved ice from the Lizard Licks Snowballs truck—such a perfect ending to a sky-high day! 🍧💙

Enjoying a great tour of the Hahn Horticulture Garden on the Virginia Tech campus thanks to their great horticulture staff who introduced us to many of the beautiful plants and trees, and answered lots of questions! 🌿🎋

Not only was it a beautiful afternoon in nature, but also while walking through the garden we counted over 28,000 steps combined. It was a great addition to our monthly step challenge. 👟

celebrated earning our two-year license with a fun and well-deserved associate cookout! ✅🍔

Burgers and hot dogs were hot off the grill, with plenty of delicious picnic sides enjoyed together in our courtyard.

A big thank you to all of our amazing associates whose dedication and hard work make our community such a special place. We couldn't do it without you! 👏

Our EmpowerMe Wellness Therapy team planned a fun and engaging Kentucky Derby–themed morning of physical therapy exercises as part of our May theme. 🌍💪

Residents especially enjoyed the creative Derby relay races, including a newspaper horse race where they competed to be the first to “run” their way across the newspaper track. It was a morning filled with laughter, friendly competition, and plenty of movement!

A big thank you to our amazing Physical and Occupational therapists for their creativity and commitment to supporting residents through engaging, meaningful therapy activities. 🧡

We're still thinking about all the fun we had at our Cinco de Mayo Fiesta! 🥳 🌮

Everyone thoroughly enjoyed homemade guacamole, festive music, a pinata, and a walking taco bar generously provided by Enhabit Home Health & Hospice!

A recent visit to Radford University's state-of-the-art Planetarium provided an incredible journey through outer space and the mysteries of black holes. 🚀 🌌

Some highlights included traveling through the solar system, soaring into Saturn's rings and learning more about the fascinating science behind these phenomenons.

It was a fun, family-friendly Saturday in space! 🔭

We’ve been busy planting a mix of flowers and vegetables, and we can't wait to watch everything grow throughout the spring and summer seasons! 🪴🌿

Thanks to the residents in our spring beautification committee who helped choose colors and styles for us to plant this year, and to all the folks who also came out to get their hands in the dirt with us or just enjoy some reminiscing about gardening memories while we planted! 🤩
