✨ Motherhood Changed Me: Part One is now live ✨

“I Miss the Naivety: Infertility, Pregnancy Loss, and the Motherhood Identity Shift” 💛

There was a version of me before infertility, pregnancy loss, medical trauma, and motherhood who believed family planning would be simple, my body would always feel like home, and life could mostly be controlled with enough preparation.

I miss her sometimes.

But I also recognize that grief, matrescence, motherhood, and everything my body has endured have changed me in ways I am still learning to understand.

In Part One of this 3-part series, I’m sharing more about:

💛 infertility and pregnancy loss
💛 losing trust in my body
💛 grief and identity changes
💛 matrescence and becoming someone new
💛 the parts of myself I miss
💛 and the strength I found along the way

This one is personal. Very personal. And I hope it helps someone else feel a little less alone in the question:

“Who am I now?”

You do not have to rush back to who you were before. Sometimes healing is also learning to meet who you are becoming. 🌿

This is something not enough people talk about…

When intimacy becomes tied to timing and outcomes
It can stop feeling like connection

And start feeling like pressure

And that pressure can quietly create distance

Not because something is wrong with you
But because something needs care

And this is where so many couples get stuck…

Because when intimacy shifts, it’s easy to internalize it

“To them, I’m not attractive anymore”
“They don’t want me”

But most of the time?
It’s not about rejection, it’s about disconnection.

And when we avoid the conversation, the distance grows.

This is where gentle, honest conversations matter.

Only 2 Days Away 💃🏾✨

The Zumbathon is almost here—and this is your reminder to make space for YOU.

In just 2 days, we’ll come together to move, release, laugh, sweat, and reconnect through dance.

This is more than fitness.
It’s joy.
It’s community.
It’s healing through movement.

We’re also dancing with purpose—donations from this event will support , helping continue meaningful work and support within the community.

If life has been feeling heavy, let this be your invitation to pause and pour back into yourself.

No perfection needed. No dance experience required. Just come ready to move and be present.

And this is the part most people were never taught…

What do you actually do after the disconnection?

Because in so many relationships, the rupture isn’t what breaks things down
It’s the silence after it
The distance
The not knowing how to come back

So we either avoid it…
or we keep repeating the same argument in different ways

Repair interrupts that cycle
Not perfectly—but intentionally

💬 Comment “REPAIR” if you’re working on this
📌 Save this for your next hard moment
🔁 Share with your partner as a reset

✨ If you keep having the same conflicts and don’t know how to repair differently, this is exactly the work we do in sessions

Infertility can change intimacy in ways people don't talk about 💭

It can turn connection into pressure.

If this has been your experience, you are not alone 🤍

Slow down.
Reconnect emotionally first.

Your relationship matters too 🌿

Save this for later.
