Comment “Workshop” and I’ll send you the details for my upcoming From Battles to Bites Workshop 💛
Your toddler isn’t throwing food to drive you crazy, they’re communicating (or just curious) At this age, kids don’t have the words (or impulse control) to say “I’m full” or “I don’t want this.”
Throwing is often their best option. Here’s what actually helps:
✅ Teach an “all done” signal — a sign or a word
✅ Serve smaller portions so there’s less “ammunition” on the tray
✅ Narrate calmly: “Food stays on the tray. All done?”
✅ Keep your reaction neutral — big responses (even funny ones) can actually reinforce the behavior
Save this for your next mealtime 👇

Feel free to join my upcoming workshop if you want deeper support with picky eating, toddler mealtimes, and reducing food battles..
