Shoulder blade pain that keeps coming back? ๐Ÿ‘€โš ๏ธ

The problem might not just be tight traps or rhomboids. What if the real issue is adhesion restricting the serratus posterior superior?

This muscle sits deep in the upper back near the shoulder blade. When it becomes restricted, it can contribute to:

๐Ÿ”ฅ chronic pain around the shoulder blade
๐Ÿ”ฅ deep upper-back tightness
๐Ÿ”ฅ that stubborn โ€œknotโ€ feeling
๐Ÿ”ฅ discomfort with certain shoulder or upper-body movements
๐Ÿ”ฅ tightness that keeps coming back

So even if you keep stretching, massaging, or digging into the areaโ€ฆ you may be missing the actual tissue restriction โŒ

By identifying and removing adhesion from the serratus posterior superior, we help restore normal tissue mobility instead of constantly chasing where the tightness is felt. โœ…๐Ÿ’ฅ

Shoulder pain that keeps coming back? ๐Ÿ‘€โš ๏ธ

The problem might not just be your shoulder joint. What if the real issue is an adhesion restricting the junction between the teres minor and infraspinatus?

These two rotator cuff muscles sit along the back of the shoulder. When the tissues at their junction become restricted, it can contribute to:

๐Ÿ”ฅ chronic shoulder pain
๐Ÿ”ฅ pain along the back of the shoulder
๐Ÿ”ฅ discomfort with lifting or rotating your arm
๐Ÿ”ฅ limited shoulder mobility
๐Ÿ”ฅ that constant tight or โ€œstuckโ€ feeling

So even if you keep stretching and strengthening your shoulderโ€ฆ you may be missing the actual tissue restriction โŒ

By identifying and removing adhesion at the teres minorโ€“infraspinatus junction, we help restore normal tissue mobility and improve shoulder movement. โœ…๐Ÿ’ฅ

Golferโ€™s elbow that keeps coming back in your clients? ๐Ÿ‘€โš ๏ธ

The problem might not just be an irritated tendon. What if the real issue is an adhesion restricting the ulnar nerve?

The ulnar nerve travels along the inside of the elbow. When adhesion restricts it, it can contribute to:

๐Ÿ”ฅ chronic medial elbow pain
๐Ÿ”ฅ golferโ€™s elbow-type symptoms
๐Ÿ”ฅ aching or tightness through the forearm
๐Ÿ”ฅ pain with gripping or lifting
๐Ÿ”ฅ numbness or tingling toward the ring and pinky fingers

So even if you keep stretching, strengthening, or treating the tendonโ€ฆ you may be missing the actual nerve restriction โŒ

By identifying and removing adhesion around the ulnar nerve, we help restore normal nerve movement instead of only chasing where the elbow hurts. โœ…๐Ÿ’ฅ

This is by far the most common type of tear associated with a rotator cuff injury. A key question to always ask during a thorough history is if there was trauma or not. When there isnโ€™t trauma, usually the Supraspinatus gets torn because other muscles in the rotator cuff arenโ€™t working correctly due to a build-up of scar tissue. This causes the Supraspinatus muscle to help out, but it isnโ€™t designed for that and causes tearing from overuse to occur.
โฃ
๐“๐š๐ค๐ž-๐‡๐จ๐ฆ๐ž:โฃ
Rotator cuff repair surgeries actually have a pretty bad outcome, as the focus is on the effect, instead of the cause of the underlying dysfunction in the surrounding muscles. The key is to assess the entire rotator cuff complex and effectively reduce scar tissue in those muscles. The rotator cuff tear can heal up without surgical intervention, with poor outcomes.โฃ

I have recently had a string of new clients in my practice who came in completely fixated on the diagnosis they got from another provider, and itโ€™s messing with their ability to actually improve their injury and pain.

In this episode, I share an important aspect of helping those in chronic pain: not letting them be a complete victim of their diagnosis, which in many cases wasnโ€™t even right in the first place!
