All hysterectomies are not created equal. Some hysterectomies require a very large incision and longer recovery, while some hysterectomies are less invasive allowing for smaller incisions and usually an easier recovery. The type of hysterectomy that you are able to have depends on surgeon and patient factors. Talk to your doctor about what type of hysterectomy you are a candidate for and why 🤍

Some of the most rewarding surgeries I do aren’t about removing an organ—they’re about giving someone their life back.

For women with severe heavy bleeding, surgery isn’t the first step. We often try medications, an IUD, or other treatments first. But when those options aren’t enough, the right surgery can mean no more planning every outing around a bathroom, carrying extra clothes “just in case,” or worrying about soaking through pads and tampons.

Watching my patients get that freedom back is one of the best parts of my job. ❤️
