Invest in your recovery with pre-tax dollars.

We don't take insurance because we refuse to let a diagnosis code dictate your care.

However , we fully support you using your health benefits to prioritize your movement.

At Myology , we accept both HSA (Health Savings Account) and FSA (Flexible Spending Account) cards.

This means you can use pre-tax dollars for your specialized sports massage , myofascial decompression , and performance maintenance.

It’s another way to take ownership of your health as an asset without the insurance middleman.

Invest in your Movement IQ now. Your body will thank you later.

Scientific Basis: Structural integration and myofascial therapy provide a high ROI for long-term physical performance and injury mitigation (Myers, T., Anatomy Trains).

FORCE RECEPTION IS A SKILL. FORCE PRODUCTION ISN’T ENOUGH.

Most active people walk in already stacked in a force production pattern:

• Extension
• Adduction
• Internal rotation
• Anterior tilt
• Scapular protraction
•Supination

That changes where and how force gets received: flexion, abduction, external rotation, posterior tilt, retraction, and pronation.

What feels like “tightness” may be a neurological response to densifications. Stretching the loud spot is not always the answer.

We treat the pattern, not the complaint site.

Our process:
ASSESS → DECIDE → TREAT → RE-EDUCATE

We decompress tissue, then re-educate mechanoreceptors through active, loaded movement before restoring function. Assessment first. Outcomes over visits.

Save this for your next training block. In your last session, were you producing force, or receiving it efficiently?

Myology provides sports massage and movement-focused bodywork. We do not diagnose or treat injuries, and our services are not a substitute for physical therapy, coaching, athletic training, or medical care.

Evidence note: Production and reception posture lists follow the MST Level II framework. Gray Cook’s joint-by-joint framework, and Tom Myers’ Anatomy Trains, are used as conceptual lenses, not diagnostic tests.

WHY YOUR TEEN ATHLETE IS SUDDENLY 'CLUMSY.'

One month, they’re the fastest on the field.
The next, they’re tripping over their own feet.

It isn’t a lack of effort.
It’s Neuromuscular Lagging.

During peak growth spurts, bones often grow faster than the brain can update its internal map.
The limbs are longer.
The levers have changed.
The nervous system is operating on old data.

This "clumsy" phase is the highest risk window for non-contact injuries.

If we don't intervene, the athlete builds compensation patterns that last a lifetime.
We don't just wait for them to "grow into it."
We re-educate the system.

Through Movement IQ, we use active, loaded movement to force the brain to find the new limb length.
We restore coordination.
We build structural integrity.
We turn potential into performance.

Don't let a growth spurt be a setback.
Elevate their craft.

YOUR JAW IS TELLING SECRETS TO YOUR HIPS.

Chronic hip tightness that resists stretching isn't a hip problem. It’s a system failure.

The body is a closed system. Through the Deep Front Line: your structural core: the jaw (TMJ) and the pelvic floor are functionally linked. Tension in the masseters mirrors tension in the iliacus. When you clinch during a heavy lift or a high-stress meeting, your hips receive the signal to brace. This is the Cranial-Pelvic Bridge.

SYSTEM SYMPTOMS:
- Persistent hip flexor restriction.
- Undiagnosed pelvic floor tension.
- Recurrent TMJ discomfort.
- Limited force transfer through the kinetic chain.

We don't treat the site of pain. We treat the system.

By addressing fascial anchors at both ends of this chain, we re-educate the nervous system to release deep-seated compensation patterns. Movement intelligence requires looking beyond the symptom to the root cause.

Stop managing the pain. Optimize the architecture.

Before the first working set, your body is already giving you information.

Your warm-up is not filler. It is an opportunity to observe how the system organizes motion under intent.

Watch for:
□ Foot pressure and force transfer
□ Knee and hip control
□ Trunk position
□ Overhead reach
□ Whether the chain connects the ground to the task

If the pattern changes with speed, range, or load, that is useful information. Not a diagnosis. Not a verdict.

The next step is clinical decision-making:
ASSESS → DECIDE → TREAT → RE-EDUCATE

At Myology, bodywork is selected for the presentation in front of us. Then the system has to use that opportunity through active, loaded movement. Passive treatment may create an opening. Movement teaches the body what to do with it.

Save this for your next session and ask: “What are we observing, and why this method?”

Evidence note: Informed by Gray Cook’s movement-quality framework as a conceptual lens for observing movement, not as a diagnostic test.

YOUR BODY DOESN'T NEED ANOTHER WORKOUT...

If you’re chasing sweat to solve chronic pain, you’re missing the architecture of the problem.

Exercise is generic.
A Movement Prescription is clinical.

Most chronic issues: like nagging lower back pain: aren’t a result of "weakness."
They are a result of compensation patterns that create performance leakage

Your brain has found a path of least resistance to protect a perceived threat.
You don’t fix that with more volume.
You fix it by changing the signal.

We don't just give you "things to do."
We provide a specific system to re-educate the kinetic chain.
We load the tissue through active movement to force the system to adapt and integrate.

Stop guessing. Start prescribing.

Elevate your recovery. Link in bio to book a structural audit.

EVERYONE MEASURES THE VERTICAL...THE SYSTEM SHOWS UP IN THE BRAKE

A hard cut and stop are eccentric force-reception demands. The foot, ankle, hip, and trunk must absorb, organize, and transfer load while the athlete changes direction.

If the chain cannot manage deceleration, the loud spot is not automatically the root cause. What feels like tightness may be a protective neurological response to densifications, not simply a cue to stretch harder.

Movement IQ Recovery follows:
Assess the cut.
Treat the loaded region with purposeful sports bodywork.
Re-educate the pattern through active, loaded movement.

We do not chase the complaint site in isolation. We read the system, then apply the right input.

For the competitive player or Saturday pickup athlete: study your brake as closely as your jump.

Science note: Gray Cook’s joint-by-joint model offers a conceptual lens for load management and deceleration. MST Level II distinguishes force reception from force production as separate performance demands.

Save this for your next court session.

CONTEXT-DEPENDENT RECOVERY.

There is no universal protocol.
Because there is no universal human body.

A crossfitter.
A pro soccer player.
A desk-bound executive.

Each presents with entirely different mechanical restrictions and nervous system loads.
Applying a generic post-workout routine to a bespoke kinetic chain failure is a waste of energy.

If you guess your recovery, you guess your performance.

[SYSTEM AUDIT]
- Identify where your system is leaking force.
- Reduce neurological interference.
- Re-educate tissue under load.

Stop treating symptoms.
Optimize the system.
