This past week was hard. I can’t remember the last time I felt as defeated and *stuck* in my stuff as I did Monday. And Tuesday. And Wednesday. And Thursday.

And today I am in touch with how grateful I am that at some point, I shifted out of it. There was no one thing in particular that helped, but instead a combination of all the good things that never stopped being present. And somehow, my wildly amazing nervous system remembered to make room for them.

Sunshine. Colors. Music. Snuggles. Silliness. Movement. Breath. Laughter. Connection. Rest. Fun. Kisses. Birdsongs. Flowers. Eye contact. Carolina Hurricanes hockey. Hope.

Happy Sunday 🩷

Thankful for this body and all of the ways she has continued to show up for me despite years of putting her through the wringer, refusing to believe she was actually in my corner when in fact, she always was.

Thankful for my family for cheering me on and reminding me of my strength (and putting up with my foul language and stupid jokes).

Thankful to be alive, to have found movement that I love, and to know people that inspire me daily.

I guess this is what I get for betraying my blazers. Never again with this nonsense.

May she always know the wonder that is her body.
May she always know its magic.
May she always have the ability to come back home to it.
To delight in it.
To trust its wisdom.
To know it is always for her, and never against her.
