New virtual session August 23rd 1:30-3:30pm, Creating Your Own Council Circle, $35

An intergenerational workshop designed to help you create your own safe and nourishing council circle of support. This workshop is an opportunity to experience virtual council circle. We will dive into ways to engage the relational aspects of the sacred feminine within the framework of virtual platforms. We will entertain questions like: How do we engage with each other deeply during social distancing? What are the elements of communal connection and healing within a sacred council circle and how can we enliven those elements within a virtual platform?

Cuddling with Kiki the therapy kitty is the first thing that happens in my day! Next is a warm cup of coconut black tea with milk and honey. Then a beauty walk in the neighborhood. A beauty walk is a way to engage with a sense of gratitude. Today's beauty find was this dark purple iris blossoming in my neighbors garden. All these things remind me that beauty can be found in the darkness.

How do you start your morning routine these days?

"What the caterpillar calls the end of the world the master calls a butterfly" Richard Bach

I love this quote! Did you know that shortly after a caterpillar wraps in cocoon, the body of the caterpillar turns completely to liquid before nature's course transforms that gooey mush into a winged butterfly. It is frequent that a woman comes to me for assistance, and then she relates that she is "having a break down". Though I honor the expression of that experience, the butterfly has taught me that transformation sometimes requires a breaking down. This "breaking down" is likely a breaking through to a new and beautiful life. What a pleasure to witness such beauty.

The best thing about my job is helping people become more at ease in their lives, find their center, find their way of balancing, and helping them connect with the happiness that they deserve.

I help women to overcome the fear, anxiety, trauma and depression that can accompany life and that can sometimes be overwhelming! Women come to me to receive healing and to learn how to manage life’s transitions and stressors. I provide a calming, creative and safe therapeutic presence that encourages a sense of ease and wellbeing.
I love what I do because I enjoy the process of guiding and empowering women to respond to the challenges and transitions of their lives. I love what I do because I feel a sense of humility and honor as I witness women move from my therapy space out into the world carrying with them the tools that they need to transform and heal their own lives and the lives of those around them. I love what I do because I believe it is sacred work, because I am my most authentic self when I am offering therapy. I believe it is my calling and purpose. I am grateful for the opportunity to witness healing in the lives of my patients.
My page is dedicated to inspiration and information intended to help you negotiate life’s challenges. You can expect creative and informative posts on topics like: managing losses, simple meditation practices, using arts to process trauma and grief, Eco-therapy, laughing yoga, spirituality, mindfulness practices, stress management, body wisdom, and new ways of connecting with community.
I am a Mental Healthcare Provider, Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Eco-therapist, Certified Trauma and Anxiety Healthcare Provider and Addictions Specialist (LCAS).
