We are excited to introduce Growing Together: A Parent Learning Series is a program designed specifically for NCDSA families of school-aged children.

Our Education and Inclusion Specialist designed this series around the most asked questions and challenges we hear about from families like yours. This series covers the topics of parent rights, behavior, communication, and community supports. Each month, we’ll offer a one-hour virtual information session around a hot topic, followed by a one-hour in-person meetup where you can ask questions, get extra one-on-one help, and dive deeper into the topic with things like make-and-take tools. Along the way, we’ll have guest speakers share their expertise with you. Come to one session or all of them! We suggest you attend the info session followed by the in-person session each month, but we’ve designed the program so you’ll benefit from any session by itself.

Join us for our first Virtual Parent Learning Session: Understanding Behavior: Looking Beyond the “What” to Find the “Why” on Wednesday, October 7th from 7-8pm.

Followed by an in-person workshop on Saturday, October 24th from 3-4pm: Understanding Behavior: Putting Strategies Into Practice
